Necromancer333 - June 23, 2006 02:39 AM (GMT)
I want to go. I doubt I can actually find a ride. Not being able to drive is soooooo annoying. COME GET ME!!

Loki_Card_Hunter - June 23, 2006 04:34 AM (GMT)
my girl freind would kill me. She is already mad that im playing so bringing another card player would shove her over the edge

Loki_Card_Hunter - July 14, 2006 12:49 PM (GMT)

Necromancer333 - July 14, 2006 08:01 PM (GMT)
I don't think I'd stand a chance right now. I'm running a throw together gravekeeper deck. I still can't find a ride...... All my friends can't find a ride. Its a bad time to not have a licence.

I went 3-2 by round 5 losing the last two so i droped. There was so much scouting going on it wasnt even funny people were coming up (this happened 13 time) and said hey can i see you stein otk. I said I didnt know what they were talking about.

I liked Jake McNeely's Deck with the Rush Recklessy and Banisher of the Radiance

Tom - July 17, 2006 09:42 PM (GMT)
I liked the Dark World burn. Very innovative and different.

Topdecker - July 17, 2006 11:38 PM (GMT)
Bobby with the DW/burn cheated

he used Protector of the Sanctuary with Card Destruction/morphing jar multiple times, even when a judge told him it was an illegal move.

He should've never topped 8

Loki_Card_Hunter - July 18, 2006 06:19 AM (GMT)
there was alot of cheating going on and spectators were part of the problem.

Necromancer333 - July 18, 2006 07:59 PM (GMT)
What kind of cheating?

Tom - July 18, 2006 08:26 PM (GMT)
Most cards that would cause the opponent to draw outside of the Draw Phase, such as "Card Destruction", cannot be activated, even by the controller of "Protector of the Sanctuary". However, effects that are forcibly activated, like "Morphing Jar", can be activated (but results may vary; see below).

If "Morphing Jar"'s effect activates, then both players discard their hands, but if you control "Protector of the Sanctuary", your opponent does not draw a new hand.

Those were taken from netrep.net.

He may have cheated when it came to card destruction, but with Morphing Jar, it was a perfectly legal move.

Necromancer333 - July 18, 2006 08:46 PM (GMT)
I thought they peeked at there top card and placed on the bottom of there deck if it was bad.

Loki_Card_Hunter - July 19, 2006 03:40 PM (GMT)
people were talking about how cards are played, lying about text, and life points werent watched very closely (I didnt run into these problems but i herd it was going on)

Necromancer333 - July 19, 2006 07:11 PM (GMT)
Yeah that sounds about right. I always keep track of both my and my opponents lp. Thats sad though, Its a big thing and the judges can't watch some people?

Tom - July 20, 2006 12:04 AM (GMT)
Even with events as big as these, there may not be enough judges. Atlanta had 522 people, and there were only like 7 or so judges, so sometimes they can get swamped and not see anything at all.

Necromancer333 - July 20, 2006 12:07 AM (GMT)
Thats bad, How do you become a judge anyway?

Tom - July 20, 2006 02:26 AM (GMT)
To become a Level 1, you need to take an online test as ude.com. After that, if you want to judge big things like regionals, you just have to know the right people. I was lucky to have met the guy who runs most most regionals here in the southeast, and talked to him a bit. If I'm lucky, I might be able to judge the next regionals coming up here. I'm still waiting for his reply to my email...so I'm keeping my finger's crossed.

Topdecker - July 20, 2006 08:29 PM (GMT)
Or better yet, if you know a place that holds like weekly UDE tourneys like at your local card shop theres bound to be like an official UDE judge there for info.

Tom - July 20, 2006 09:58 PM (GMT)
Well seeing as I'm my store's Level 1 Judge, I've bypassed that, so what I gave him is pretty much what a Level 1 judge will tell him :P

Topdecker - July 21, 2006 12:00 AM (GMT)
oh yea forgot to add, you have to be at least 16, ...i think
