Anyone wanna predict what percentage of this set will have Censored artwork by the time it hits the U.S... And good eye Evangel.
Newzfoxjr - June 7, 2006 06:57 PM (GMT)
...Not my fault.
1) I got it from dmcomet.
2) I don't even know OCG names.

I didn't say it was your fault. I am not even saying this is anyone's fault. I am just saying that there are no OCG names is all.
OCG stands for Official Card Game. This is the Japanese game while TCG is the English game.
As far as sensored artworks go, I am going to say that they are not gonna like Dogmaguy's pointy object too much. Other than that, I really don't see any other cards that can/will be edited as non of Asuka's card are in this set.

I know. Thanks for that list, by the way.
Do you have a link to any pictures?

Ideal is always a good place to check for card pictures. Although some of them are blurry. (took me forever to read the furigana on Gangil)

Yea but they find the smallest things to censor. Blazing Hilta was censored from Jap to Eng. And it was something so small, no-one would possible notice unless it was pointed out to them (i.e. Me)
Dark Evangel - June 8, 2006 04:44 AM (GMT)
I looked through al the cards again, and found some that might get edited after all.
Defendguy has those horn thingies that Konami seem to hate so much, so those might be gone.
Now that I looked at him closer, Dogmaguy not only has a pointy object, but also horns too...
Doomguy's gun is gone for sure.
Alien Mother's "assets" might get altered a little.
Fake Hero 'cause of the guy's boxers.
Calling Magic might get altered a little so it doesn't look so "occultish".
D - Spirit's gangster guys in the background might be changed.
If Dogmaguy gets changed, Cycloneblade will be too.
Common Soul's sperm like souls might lose their tails.
That's all I could really see. Although them jolly rancher guys on POTD-JP058 might get some edits too.

Anyway, GO FUTURE FUSION! Woohoo.

no, neospacian aqua dolphin is pretty good....read the effect
Darth Vader - June 23, 2006 02:13 PM (GMT)
I'd have to concur with you there... It is very good... However, I think the Chimeratech Dragon may be overused in some decks...
Dark Evangel - June 24, 2006 06:11 AM (GMT)
Aqua Dolphin is bad for what it represents. The anime effect was unlimited times per turn, Konami watered it down to once per turn. I don't hate its OCG form, I just dislike how another potentially great GX card got pwned by Konami again. (See also Aqua Neos).
Darth Vader - June 24, 2006 05:59 PM (GMT)
Oh well, im sure they had their reasons. It's still pretty good, or maybe should they alter it further?
Dark Evangel - June 24, 2006 06:43 PM (GMT)
Oh they had their reasons alright. Konami is afraid of having another Cyber Dragon fiasco, so every potentially great GX card gets nerfed so bad that they aren't even worth the cardboard they are printed on.

WOW!
Another crappy set. |
The exact reason I dont play much anymore. Ever since the Elemental Heros. I could care less.
But, though its not that good, I may still buy some packs anyways....just to see what I missed.
Darth Vader - June 24, 2006 09:51 PM (GMT)
"cyber dragon fiasco"
hmmm... could you mean that it shows up everywhere? maybe for the next super good gx cards they will release them as 1 of a kind first, such as SJ cyber stein, and then reprint it 6 sets later.
Dark Evangel - June 24, 2006 10:12 PM (GMT)
By Cyber Dragon fiasco I mean upgrading a card from its anime counterpart to the part where it becomes super splashable like CD was. Cyber Dragon's original anime effect was that you could normal summmon him when your opponent has a monster and you don't. Bubbleman, Skyscraper, Friendog, Magical Mallet, Aqua Dolphin, and a whole bunch of other potentially useful GX cards were nerfed because Konami made a mistake and made Cyber Dragon better than it already is.
Drizzt Do'Urden - June 25, 2006 02:19 AM (GMT)
This set will not bring any new staples to the game. The sets now are improving on less playable type and that's not a bad thing but, the sets aren't enough.
Almost every deck needs its own Special Summon card to make it good or a card that nets good advantage. Chaos Sorcerer, DDV, and Strike Ninja are all good examples.
Until we see a set that will change the Meta, we will have to rely on the ban list to make the game more fun.

Which isn't a sensible thing to do either. If March's genocide bannings taught us anything, it's Konami cares more about killing certain deck types rather than balancing all decks equally.
Loki_Card_Hunter - June 27, 2006 04:17 PM (GMT)
this set blows just like the last couple minus a few decsent cards
Tom - July 31, 2006 11:14 PM (GMT)
...excuse me...blows? Sucks? This set does not. It breathes new life into Dino decks, which is something I have been looking forward to.
Vehicroids get some spiffy support, which is cool. Then you of course have Chimeratech Overdragon, a good card that is also great with a broken card in itself: Future Fusion.
"But Tom, good ol' fashion, CC decks don't use Fusion's because they are teh suckyness, unless I'm running Metamorphosis."
True. And yet now a days we run at least two cards in the standard deck that have a fusion: Cyber Dragon. I'll Gladly dump two Cyber Dragons into the graveyard to revive and use for Chaos Sorceror, with the potiential to have a Cyber Twin Dragon rampaging on the field later on in the duel. Then there are the specialty decks the card can go into that could very well be brutal too. Imagine using Future Fusion to get out Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon, then Dragon's Mirror for a second BEUD then Returning the 3 Blue Eyes. Ouch.
True some of the Destiny Heroes arn't that good, but still not too bad.
Overall I think the set is pretty good, and opens a few doors for a few deck types to pop up. Hopefully It will encourage DIVERSITY, which this game sorely lacks.
Necromancer333 - July 31, 2006 11:39 PM (GMT)
I guess it does help dinos out and will add a new deck (Aliens). Other then that stuff I still think d-heros are a GX freaks dream come true (a crapy dream). I personaly think this set blows still. Unless your a dinoman or d-heroman.
Even if it gives dinos a boost, how many people use bugs or ancient gear decks? Not many. Dinos will pass by just as unused.
Konami screwed up bigtime when they went e-hero crazy. I just can't wait till Cyber dark.
Tom - August 1, 2006 06:07 AM (GMT)
So what? You want then to release a set that contains another Chaos monster right? I think Chimera Overtech Dragon and Future Fusion will re-define the format, mark my words. We'll see a ton of Chimera/Fusion decks played, plus Future Fusion cards splashed into the existing Chaos decks.
Not to mention playing that one field spell card that lets a player summon a tribute monster by paying LP instead of tributes, which can be abused in multiple of ways. First turn Jinzo? How about DMOC? Or the big bad dino of the set, Ultimate Tyranno? And let's think about it. Most standard Chaos deck tributes require tributes to happen, so Zaborgs and Mobius gain no real benefit from the card. I can defenatly see the card used along the lines of a re-hashed DMOC/Chaos deck.
Barrel End Dragon - August 1, 2006 05:39 PM (GMT)
Chimera-tech will be everywhere, people have been geeking out about it since they saw the spoilers list...Chimera tech wont be limited until March/April though...along with Future Fusion, and Overload Fusion.
In fact,Overload fusion should be limited immidately with the new ban list,it's going to be worse than RFTDD,because they'll use RFTDD with overlaod fusion, and Chimera-tech....the decktypes there are a changin'....

Return?
Dimension Fusion....... obv
Necromancer333 - August 4, 2006 09:09 PM (GMT)
No I don't want another chaos monster, I want a set that doesn't have all that E, D-hero crap. We've all heard "this sets gonna do this", But does it?? If I'm wrong about this pack and we all start seeing cards from this set doing anything good then fine. I personally can't wait for the aliens.
Barrel End Dragon - August 4, 2006 10:33 PM (GMT)
even though what I said about Overload fusion and Future fusion I still want them...a machine lover's dream...Can't help it,along with the Cyber Tin,and SD 10 pure machines...yep.
