Description: anyone ever moved houses alot?

Jun Manjyome - May 10, 2006 04:41 PM (GMT)
So, anyone moved around alot? Share your experiences....

I lived in Ireland, until I was 2, then moved near Cambridge (England) (and moved once during that time) and lived there until I was 14, 2 years ago I moved to Bavaria, and now it seems that we'll be moving to Geneva in Switzerland in the next year or so....

It's a busy life :1

sheetro - May 10, 2006 04:53 PM (GMT)
Busy indeed!!
I was born in Holland, I moved once from somewhere to somewhere else in Holland but I don't know the details; too young XD
Then after that when I was 5 we all moved to Scotland. A year later we moved again in Scotland. 4 years go we moved here to England and by the end of October lastest, I'm moving to Glasgow.

Do you find it very stressy? Becuse I'm really getting stressed, because I've only just about setteled in...and now we're most likely going to move again....Thank god for International Schools....I was In a Gymansium (Grammer School) here for a while....but It was soooo hard...especially as my german isn't so good...and they're tested the whole time....it's so different.....

sheetro - May 10, 2006 05:12 PM (GMT)
I found it hard to move from Scotland to England. My grades ALL dropepd two to three grades. From As to Cs and Ds. It's ridiculous. The English schooling system sucks so bad so it was really stressful. but making friends, settling in etc is easy for me.
I guess it's different for every individual but I'm ready to move again. I just dislike meeting new people really....

Jun Manjyome - May 11, 2006 04:12 PM (GMT)
Oh god tell me about it....I hate making new friends, I don't need more than 1 or 2 good friends...I finally got a really good girlfriend and I really don't want to have to move...I'm quite used to settling down quickly, but memories don't go away as quickly as I want them too...

sheetro - May 11, 2006 08:26 PM (GMT)
True. I forgot to mention I moved to Houston, Texas when I was about 3. But only for like 3 months then left :S weird but ooooh well

Meeting new friends is tough. I thought going to work was hard and making friends but moving is really something else. When I'm moving up to Glasgow, I'll be the youngest in the group of friends my boyfriend has. He's 21. I'm 18 next Tuesday. How sucky is that!
I guess a long distance relationship couldn't really work too well being that far apart but if you're both willing and happy to, maybe you could do so then work something out later on.

Age 1 - 4 : Lived in Houston, Tx.
Age 4 - 6 : Lived in Kaohsiung, Tw.
Age 6 - 9 : Back in Houston, Tx.
Age 9 - 17 (now) : Back in Kaohsiung, Tw.

Looks like I just keep on moving back and fro from the two >_> The address in both places are the same.

Jun Manjyome - May 12, 2006 04:03 PM (GMT)
Wow....thats quite a distance...What's it like there?

^ I know how it feels....most of the people my age only live to get drunk and I don't really hang around with people like that, so most of my friends are 21+ (and I'm 16....)...so I can have a desent covo with them...(I must be a really boring person y.y......)

Touzokuou Bakura - May 13, 2006 03:44 AM (GMT)
^ lol if you're boring, then I must be the one who makes ppl fall asleep as I talk XD

You mean in Taiwan? Well, it's hot, humid, with loads of crappy ppl who makes me want to punch them, .......depends on what you want to know about here o.o

Jun Manjyome - May 14, 2006 04:03 PM (GMT)
I was wondering of you go to school there, do you go to international school, or did you have to learn the language....(wow, we're just having a massive thunderstorm at the moment...)....how comes you want to hit all the people...are they that annnoying?....Some of the germans are really nasty...calling me Scheiß engländer........oooohhhh how I could kill them....

Touzokuou Bakura - May 15, 2006 02:05 PM (GMT)
XD Ha ha, I used to get called "Chinese Girl" by those damn Mexicans back when I was in the states.

I go to a private Catholic high school atm, though it's only because I got lousy grades, so it's like the only good school I can get into. There's not much actual Catholic activities in there, just some lame ones so it would at least still have some Catholic characteristics (such as giving all the students a plain boiled egg on Easter, listening to boring Catholic songs that make me want to puke (no offence, but some of the lyrics were really....*nerve twitch*)....etc. etc.)
I don't really need to learn the language, as I've always spoke that language (though my Chinese grades were terrible)....
The reason why I want to kill the ppl here? A lot of them have no manners at all, spitting all over the ground, chewing "Taiwanese gum" (something like the way ppl chew tobacco, only they spit out red stuff), talk in annoying tones, aggressive behavior, acting cool when they're total idiots, etc. etc....it's hard to get the idea by describing it in words here, you have to come over and see for yourself >_<

I can go on and on, but I better not, we're going off topic here XD

Jun Manjyome - May 15, 2006 05:31 PM (GMT)
Well I suppose its good that you speak the language I can imagine its a really hard language to learn....(althought German is hard to...the chnge the grammer rules all the time and I have no idea whats going on.....)

I was in a catholic school here for a year(and I hated every minute of it)....and at that stage I was really goth....It was soooo funny the way people reacted to me as well...and the teachers.....don't get me started....hehehehe

Touzokuou Bakura - May 16, 2006 11:00 AM (GMT)
lol...since I'm Asian and both my parents speak Chinese, I don't really have to learn (how to speak) it, but all my classmates are moaning about how hard English is o_o

I think a big difference in the high schools here and there, we don't have that much of "high school clitches", and damn those uniforms, so it's hard to see much character in an individual. (we can't dye our hair, we can't wear earrings to school, no finger painting, black or white shoes only, black or white socks only, etc. etc.)

Jun Manjyome - May 18, 2006 08:18 AM (GMT)
I love school uniforms...I just hate having to wake up in the moring and wondering what the hell I'm going top wear in the moring.....I really hate that...

In England the school unifiorms were srtict too, but I prefer it that way...
Without disiplin where would we be?

....What the hell. School uniforms aren't discipline, they're forced conformity.

And I have lived in the same town my whole life. DAMMIT!

Vargrant Legend - May 18, 2006 09:33 PM (GMT)
What he said...Besides the fact I've been all over the globe for various reasons.

Touzokuou Bakura - May 19, 2006 02:15 PM (GMT)
I don't mind uniforms...in general. But I absolutely HATE those f*cking skirts and dresses. And why does girls' uniforms only have one pocket? We have just as much stuff we need to put into them as guys.

sheetro - May 19, 2006 08:34 PM (GMT)
^XDD!! it's so true!! WHY ONE POCKET?!?!? good god!

As for me, I'm moving soon WOOT!! I hate it to hell but oh well! It's better than living in the same place (i think, personally).
As for the long distance relationship, it's fine so i'd say go for it with that girl Jun.
Two to three months before i move WOO :D

Jun Manjyome - May 22, 2006 05:07 PM (GMT)
Hehehe thanks! Yeah, well it seems things might just calm down here....so we might not move for another year or so, but....you never know...
As for the one pocket thing....well I never had that problem, but I can imagine most girls do have alot of stuff to carry around......eyeliner, mascara, lipstick....hehehe (....sorry I couldn't help but make a little joke....no offence ment :D )

Touzokuou Bakura - May 26, 2006 05:07 AM (GMT)
^^ Wow, you're moving?? Where to?? ^__^

^ For those girls in my class, yeah, they'd probably have those kind of stuff in their pockets, but for me, the wallet + cellphone is enough for two.

Jun Manjyome - May 29, 2006 04:10 PM (GMT)
Same here....although I also carry my MP3 palyer around.....of corse I'd never listen to it class though... :sigh ...I'd find it hard to only have 1 pocket.....but it's better then having to choose what to wear to school in the moring...I hate thinking about what to wear....(especially as I have to get up at 5:30am every weekday morning....that's awful......)

Touzokuou Bakura - May 31, 2006 01:19 PM (GMT)
lol I just throw on a pair of jeans and a T-shirt and I'm done :D

ffrrt - May 31, 2006 03:17 PM (GMT)

Jun Manjyome - June 12, 2006 11:20 AM (GMT)
Man, you díd move alot didn't you. I think the hardest part is leaving friends behind (which isn't too hard for me...seeing as I only make about one or 2 really good friends...)

Touzokuou Bakura - June 12, 2006 01:23 PM (GMT)
^ seconded. At most I have like, 2 friends. And they aren't close either, just friends you say "hi" to when you see each other... But now I gradually have more friends, though I probably wouldn't mind separating from them much, still. I'm really used to being all by myself o_O

ffrrt - June 12, 2006 02:15 PM (GMT)
I know it sucks I only have 2 good friends now but I don't want to move again i hate it!!!

Jun Manjyome - June 13, 2006 12:27 PM (GMT)
I think you get used to it after a while...But I think it's good for me, when I want to get a job later on, I'll be more prepaired to move around to different countries, somehow I see it as an advantage (from this perspective anyway)

ffrrt - June 13, 2006 02:03 PM (GMT)
yeah your older then me I'm only 12 man but anyways I hope we stay here i love indiana
