Title: Yu Gi Oh! 2004 World Championship GBA game.

Not sure if this belongs in the Yu Gi Oh! Q & A or here, but whatever...

I was playing it the other day, around three weeks ago. I was dueling Simon, that 3000 year old shortie who's beside Atemu and uses Exodia who for some reason appears in that game and knows how to play duel monsters.

LP:
Simon - 500
Me - 900

He had three face-down monsters on the field, and Mystic Tomato in atk mode, Slate Warrior in def mode. He has no spell or trap cards on the field. I have Spear Dragon, Cyber Jar, and Big Shield Gardna on the field, with Nightmare Wheel equipped on his Mystic Tomato. He used Graceful Charity, but ran out of cards after drawing only two cards, he discarded one card, managed to summon Exodia, but lost to me.

I remember that if you have all the Exodia pieces on the field or in your hand, you automatically win, but since he ran out of cards to draw, which means an automatic lose...it's rather confusing, which situation would win over the other, if they happened at the same time? I'm not sure if what'd happened in the game was what would've happened if it were an official duel against another person?

All effects have to resolve before Exodia's effect activates. He would run out of cards before he got the win.

That is correct. Perhaps there are glitches in the game.

Yeah, sounds like a glitch in the game. If he failed to draw three cards, he'd lose then and there--no chance for Exodia.

True...

Then on the other hand... hate to have his luck :P :)

:o Thanks. At least now I'm sure that I'd won fair and square, unlike some other effect glitches in the game...(such as using Call of the Haunted, and the monster that was summoned gets destroyed, but the Call of Haunted card remains on the field for some reason in certain circumstances...)

Closed ^_^
