Title: I've got a kinda interesting question

Gepstamnia - April 24, 2006 07:31 PM (GMT)
ok, i met a guy on the net. He wants to meet me. I told him, sure why not. Now, i'm afraid he's a child molestor. What do i do? He has my address and everything. What do i do?

OK, first of all NEVER give anybody on the internet personal info!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm gonna take a shot and say your a woman/girl, and I don't want to be rude but it was kinda stupid that you gave someone your address.

Just watch out to see if that guy is a molestor or sexual predator. Hopefully it isn't Michael Jackson.

Get some Mace. XP (Or an actual mace if you can swing it.)

Topdecker - April 25, 2006 12:22 AM (GMT)
Or try pepper spray, it works on me every time

Tyrin Claw - April 25, 2006 12:23 AM (GMT)
I thought Mace was pepper spray, or something very similar.

No offense, but you're an idiot. Didn't you just see that story on that news about that Oklahoman girl getting raped and killed? Not to mention the guy planned to cut off her head, drain her blood and eat her.

Now as for you, I would recommend staying with someone at all times. Don't go meet him away from your house.

>_> Why did you even give the bloke your info and stuff in the first place? Just tell the guy the next time that you can't go because of "parent problems", if he were a nice guy, he'll back off. If he's not...go get yourself a rifle and make sure you have enough ammo to blow his head off if he comes striding up your front yard one day.

Great help everyone XD Rifles and Mace and pepperspray...

I agree with all the above though, it was ridiculously stupid to give out your personal information out over the internet to someone you've never met.

He has your address. Great... He knows where you live and if he IS the type of weirdo stalkery molestor, he might be sat outside right now in a car watching your daily routine trying to find a gap of time to find you alone in the house. Therefore never EVER leave the house alone nor be alone by yourself in the house. Sounds stupid but trust me it might work.
Another thing, tell your parents. Some people would adivse against this but I think it's advisable to let an adult or two know that you are scared etc. Letting parents know means they'll be extra protective, they'll try to be there more for you in the house and so hopefully you'll never have to be alone.
If in the case your parents are TOO worried and they call the police, thank god! If you have the other person's address ie if you swapped addresses etc then the police *may* get involved however that's extreme!!
He may turn out to be a harmless person who really does only want to meet up and be friends. If this is the case talk to him online more before you meet. Don't start avoiding him because sooner or later he'll want to talk to you again and hey there he is on your doorstep, you terrified as hell.

SO! In conclusion *hits over the head with a cushion* don't do it again. My advise is only bare bones and slight extremes. Go with the getting-to-know-the-person-better-online thing before you meet up or even THINK about meeting up.
I'm no expert but there are some freaky people out there. Be careful and be safe.

EDIT:
Oh yeah! And if you ever want to meet someone from the internet, meet in a safe PUBLIC place and i mean by having lots and LOTS of people there. Take a few friends with you, maybe even an adult. I'm 17 coming on 18 and even I would take my dad or mum or both with me, never on my own. Public places means more eyes to see you and hopefully if in a place eg a mall, there'll be cameras etc so you'll be fine. Don't just go on your own. EVER. Go with someone you trust and know who can protect you.
