Well for those of you who have been watching the show, I'm sure you have some comments.

My negative thoughts on the show:

1) The duels usually last only one episode.
2) They ppl almost always get the cards they need.
3) Obelisk Blue shouldn't be the best dorm, Ra should.

My positive thoughts:

1) Nothing to do with destiny.
2) The cards usually do almost exactly what they do in real life.
3) The are card sets based on the show.

Kaiba made the Duel Academy. Go figure.


I love Yugioh GX. The duels are realistic and inspire me to make an original deck.

Realistic is pushing it a little. They draw exactly what they need at exactly the right time.

I meant the card effects. Also, if someone didn't draw something they need, then no one would win a duel. I know you mean exactly, but come on, have you ever had to create a duel between two characters? It's hard.

It's not that hard. :P

The duels are unrealistic. I like how the card effects are correct, but they say what each and every card does. Such a bother.

I pretty much gave up on watching it. Pharaoh's Memory is much better.

I like it overall so far. The whole academy thing gives it a new and different concept than the old, original Yu-Gi-Oh!

uh i hate yugioh gx and yugioh i always felt it lame, and kiddish. but compared to the original yugioh i think gx is better.

I prefer GX because they are at least more realistic than the original show, in the sense that most of the time you're not fighting for souls in shadow realms but you're fighting to pass a test or not get expelled. Sounds more realistic to me.

I acutally like the fact that the duels usually last one episode. The reason they lasted more than one episode in the old show is because of excessive dialogue and flashbacks that cut into the duel. At least now, the flashbacks (if any) are small and duels are straight-to-the-point. So what if they always nearly get the right card, at least they can play them right. And, a considerable number of those cards are found irl.

Actually if you look into season 2, Destiny is heavily featured, with 2 people or more falling prey to it (Kaiser (Zane) and Judai (Jaden).

The dorms reflect Kaiba's oppinion, no one elses (like the whole females only in Obelisk Blue thing)

I can relate more to characters, although the only problem I have with this Series is.....The Dub, they made Zane so cold, which he isn't in the sub (Asuka (Alexis) had by that point suggest he duel Judai (Jaden) and Syrus so wimpy, which in the sub the kid isn't.

They should have two real people duel then reinact their duel on the show

I don't like GX because...well...I just don't like it >_>

Did anyone notice that in the first few eps when Chummley was deciding what cards to place in his deck, the tree trunk he was sitting on was extremely thick? But then when the main character (whatever his name is in English) came from below, the trunk suddenly became much thinner...

Ilike GX because the fact that it isnt the same old thing like battling for the world and it is faster paced than yu-gi-oh :hehe:

I wish they would just show reruns, I liked them better then the crap that is on now. I also didnt get to see them all.

Well the show sucks even more now. All the destiny and crap over the stupid beast cards is stupid. The show sucks more and more as it goes by. There are more and more broken cards appearing again and again. Bubbleman + Mirage of Nightmare + Pot of Greed = massive card advantage. It is so annoying!

Personally, I think GX is better, because unlike the other series, they tried restoring the Pharoah's memories. Each time, it got too repetitive, and I think GX is better, because the duels are more realistic, and there isn't too much about gathering the seven Millenium items, or about taking over the world, in my opinion at least.

Yeah,but the original clips are better i find.
It is cool with the Millenium items but thats it.

The only thing i like about GX are that the card rulings are more exact.

There are too many new cards in GX >_> And there are many annoying effects with the cards, like penetrating atks, etc. And the characters all look weird (with a few exceptions)

It's an anime, it's mandated that the characters look weird. :P

I have also noticed that in almost every episode, a new and very situational card appears and wins the duel. I HATE that.

And why does that main character Jaden, whatever his name is, always gets the right cards at the right moment? Whenever he uses Pot of Greed, he almost always gets the two exact right card (Polymerization and another card) and immediately Polymerizes two monsters, etc. etc.? >_>

I bet you you he stuck his cards together to do that. lol!

All the characters in there are always super lucky. They always get what they need in the duel.
