Title: CotD Resignation

yatalocker - September 9, 2005 09:54 PM (GMT)
I'm sorry guys, but I'm going to have to resign from CotD. School has started for me and I already am getting a lot of homework, and I just don't have much time anymore. I'll still be on the site plently, don't worry about that.

If someone wanted to doCotD, I guess they could take the job, but don't feel obligated to.

Yeah I know. School started for me too. It is hard to find the time to do the reviews for me also. I may have to resign also. I'll figure that out in the next week or so.

Sorry to have you quit dude.

Xander - September 10, 2005 12:34 AM (GMT)
...Why resign? The site is inactive, it doesn't matter anymore.

Drizzt Do'Urden - September 15, 2005 03:34 AM (GMT)
I also must resign. I can't do the COTD anymore either.

ProfessorBrimstone - September 16, 2005 11:59 AM (GMT)
My goodness! We gotta have some cards for the COTD!

I'll PM Tom and see if I can take one of your two's positions. Sad to see this happen, but the site's gotta stay active as much as possible!

Y'know, Xander, Administrator or no, you have GOT to be one pessimistic a-hole if you keep on preaching how the board's dead and that any attempt to revive it would just be a total waste. It sorta reminds me of that moderator on the School of Duel forums who swore to leave the Yugioh fandom ENTIRELY (including his moderating privledges) just because he hated the last ban list. If you're THAT apocalyptic about the board, why don't you leave? I may not know much about administration, but I DO kinda figure that having an administrator that keeps on insisting that the downfall of the site he/she's adimistrating is nigh is a BAD thing, and probably not one that any sane, rational administration would want in their ranks, for much longer. Me, I can sorta accept the lack of activity on this board now that school's back in session; a lot of the fanbase IS made up of kids, y'know, and it's most likely that their parents would pull their internet privledges until they get done with their Algebra homework or something. And besides, it can't be totally inactive if there's people still posting on it, right? I'm fairly sure that it's just a slump in activity, nothing that the release of back-to-school jitters won't fix. Lighten up, will you? It could be worse...We could have another Asshat Spamming Incident, like the one we had in March/April (you guys remember that, right? I thought so)...

Wow, for once I agree with Synjo here. I have also quit the CotD Team too, I just kept it in the Mod Forum, so yeah we do need some people to join the team to help out Tom. Until then Tom, you should just do CotW. Just a suggestion.

ProfessorBrimstone - September 16, 2005 02:55 PM (GMT)
I also agree with Synco here too (surprisingly, lol, j/k). Yes Newz, the site is slow; yes the site's not as active as it once; yes, I've said elsewhere that the youth on this site is at school, but all that doesn't mean that you have to act sooo negative about how the site's dead! If it was dead, it would be unaccessable, period! But we still post, we still have some COTD's, we play message games, we still post decks, we still reply to new members' hello threads, we still get new members, we still spam; we still do all of it; we just do not do it at a fast speed like we once did.
This is what I really want to say to you, Newz:
1) the site's not dead
2) you run this site, so do not act sooo negative about this! If you act so negative about this site being dead, people will see that and not wanna join or post more often.
3) you still have created a very large message board and it has stayed on the net for over a year-and-a-half! This is exceptionally amazing for anyone, ESPECIALLY for someone your age! You have done an amzing feat with this site, and because it's at a low point right now, you shouldn't rip your own site and say its dead; it's not dead.

Since I've joined, this is about the 5th low point of the site, and what has happened each time?..... the site grew back! It was low at these times:
1) Whenever I 1st joined in November
2) Around February-March of this year
3) When the site got hacked
4) The 2 weeks after the site returned!

The site will grow eventually, so Newz, buddy, just don't act so negative right now. In the words of the one-hit wonder song: Don't worry; Be Happy :)

Yay, about time someone said something to him. :D

Drizzt Do'Urden - September 16, 2005 07:47 PM (GMT)
Well then, that was cetainly.....insightful.

Tom - September 16, 2005 09:24 PM (GMT)
Well...it looks like me and ProfessorBrimstone are going to do COTD. so at this point, if anyone wish to take their spots, PM me (*cough-Bishop-, Tyrin Claw, SynjoDeonecroscough* >.>)
