Title: Sneak Preview and promos
Description: How late can I be to get one?

SynjoDeonecros - July 31, 2005 11:32 PM (GMT)
Through some haggling, I'm finally able to go to the sneak preview this weekend. The only problem? In order to keep things under our budget, I have to leave for Portland at around 6am the day of the Preview (I live four hours away), which means that I'll end up arriving at the Preview at around 11:30. Now, I'm not that concerned about getting the Promo for the event, but it's got me thinking: how far into the Preview do they usually run out of it? Would I be getting in too late to get one? What's the usual amount of promos they have at a single event?

If worse comes to worse and you can't get one, look out for issues of Shonen Jump; they sold the last sneak preview promo in an issue. They may do the same again.

they usually have plenty but you can pick it up in noverbers issue of shonen jump

Well, it's a moot point now, anyway, since a crisis just came up that's prevented me from going this time. Ah, well *shrugs* We've still got a box of the set on hold for us, and Loki's right: I can always pick up the promo in a future issue of Shounen Jump, so it's not like I'm losing out on anything.

Might as well wait. In your situation, you had to pay for the flight, get there hopefully on time, and then ante up $20.00.

Hopefully the only card you want is the Promo.

Actually, I would've have to either take the bus or have my roommate rent a car and drive me up there, but that still would've tilted our budget by around $80 or so. And I couldn't really give a damn about the promo: I was hoping to get my paws on some of the CRV cards I needed for my machine deck early and unload some of the cards I have for trade for other cards I need for my decks at their trading areas.
