Precursor to Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith
Months have passed since the Battle of Geonosis, and the Clone Wars has swept the galaxy into an era of war the likes of which havent been seen in over a thousand years. Everywhere, everyday, planets are consumed by war as they pledge their allegiance to the Republic or the Seperatists.
Among these troubled times comes a decision for the Jedi Order. They have always been the guardians of peace and justice, never soilders. They must now choose whether or not their intentions lie in upholding their traditions...or becoming soilders for a Republic in need. One thing is clear: their path, and the outcome of the many battles to come, will be in their hands.
As clone troopers and droid soilders meet on the battlefield, a single key system is targeted by the Seperatists. Kamino, producer of the vast clone army that defends the Republic, has caught the eye of the Seperatists. Now, as Jedi Knights and clone troopers rush towards Kamino in preparation for the coming attack, a massive Seperatist force descends upon the planet...Characters:The Confederacy of Independant SystemsGeneral Grievous - a brilliant strategist unhindered by compassion or scruples, Grievous's lightning strikes and effective campaigns caused his reputation to grow in the eyes of a frightened Republic. A twisted melding of flesh and metal, General Grievous' body is a deadly weapon forged by the cutting edge developers of the Confederacy. Grievous' living matter was encased within his precision-engineered artificial body.Making the horrific amalgam more unpleasant was a persistent wet, hacking cough coming from his ravaged lungs.Grievous hunted Jedi for sport and kept his victims' lightsabers as trophies of his conquests within his cloak. His unorthodox fighting form and mechanical enhancements gave him an edge in close-quarter combat. Each of his six-fingered arms could split in two, resulting in an array of four limbs, each armed with a lightsaber. Grievous could spin these arms in a whirling storm of deadly lacerating light that few could withstand. Grievous also occasionally wields a blaster pistol and an electrostaff.
king_laharlAsajj Ventress - One of the most deadly and tragic opponents to emerge from the battlefields of the Clone Wars was Asajj Ventress, a disciple of the dark side and sworn enemy of the Jedi. Much of her past remains shrouded in mystery. Ventress hails from Rattatak, a barbaric world where violent bloodshed is a daily occurrence. Somehow, a young Jedi named Ky Narec came to be stranded on this forsaken world. Cut off from the Jedi Council, Narec discovered Asajj and took it upon himself to train the Force-strong orphan. Asajj had the skills of the Jedi combined with a raw, unfocused talent in the Force. She never controlled her instinctual fury, and when her master died, she developed a hatred for the Republic that had abandoned her mentor, and had ignored the atrocities of Rattatak. Her weapons of choice are two lightsabers, curved in the archaic design favored by Count Dooku. Her lightsabers have been specially modified to connect together at the pommels to form an S-shaped double bladed lightsaber.
Touzokuou BakuraDurge - The bounty hunter known as Durge had weathered centuries of violence and warfare, emerging as a merciless and nearly unstoppable warrior driven by ancient vendettas. Though he identified himself as a bounty hunter, he held no guild allegiance, answered to no benefactor, and seemed to have no need of riches. He hunted for the pure sport of it, to feed an insatiable bloodlust that spanned literally hundreds of worlds and almost two thousand years. Though humanoid in appearance, Durge was a Gen'Dai, a rare species with an unusually long lifespan. The peculiar nervous and circulatory systems of the Gen'Dai makes them extremely resistant to physical injury. Should a Gen'Dai sustain too many injuries, they are capable of entering into extended periods of hibernation, during which they can heal wounds, recover from disease, and slow the aging process. Hailed as the killer of Mandalore, the deadliest man in the galaxy a thousand years ago, Durge sports two blaster pistols and a variety of other weapons, including blaster rifles, rockets, explosives, an energy bola, power lance, and a spiked flail.
Warrior of DarknessIG-1029 - After the beginning of the Clone Wars, Count Dooku authorized Holowan Mechanicals, a company indebted to the InterGalactic Banking Clan, to develop a cutting edge warrior droid that would meet Grievous' standards for a bodyguard. The end result was the prototype Self-Motivating Heuristically Programmed Combat Droid, or the IG-series 100 MagnaGuards. Not programmed, but
trained by General Grievous, these droids were the deadliest among the Seperatists armies. IG-1029 was part of a prototype model built by Holowan Mechanicals that sported a prototype verbobrain to make the droid more "human". The end result was a devastating droid that could learn while in combat and improve itself. General Grievous personally picked 1029 after seeing the droid in combat. IG-1029 sports an electrostaff, capable of deflecting lightsaber attacks, as well as twin rocket launchers hidden inside its body.
The Galactic RepublicAnakin Skywalker - A child born of prophecy, possibly conceived by the will of the Force itself, Anakin Skywalker has left an indelible mark on the history of the galaxy, leading it through periods of lightness and dark. Apprenticed to Obi-Wan as a Jedi Padawan in the thick of the fiercest fighting the Republic had faced in centuries, Anakin became a man against the backdrop of seemingly ceaseless war. Despite Jedi platitudes about peace and patience, Anakin found the battles of the Clone Wars invigorating. He felt alive in combat, and his incredible Force abilities were further honed. It was Anakin who single-handedly transformed inevitable defeat into victory on numerous occasions. Due to his reputation in battle and skills as a Jedi, the Jedi Council finally granted Anakin the title of Jedi Knight after the start of the Clone Wars. Unparalled in raw Force talent, Anakin is a fighter pilot with no equal. His skills in a starfighter have led to many victories for the Republic, and in lightsaber combat, Anakin has rarely been bested.
EvilBakuraObi-Wan Kenobi - A dedicated and legendary Jedi Knight, Obi-Wan Kenobi has had a long and tumultuous career that has helped shape the fate of an entire galaxy. Apprentice to the enigmatic Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and Master to the Chosen One, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan has had his life filled with laughter, danger, and friendship. As a General in the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi served the Senate and the Republic heroically, on numerous historic battlefronts. Despite his misgivings, he became a seasoned starfighter pilot, learning several tricks from his unorthodox Padawan as the duo blazed a trail of victory through Separatists lines. The exploits of Skywalker and Kenobi became legendary throughout the Republic. While Anakin was elevated as the "Hero Without Fear" for his daring heroics, Obi-Wan's more measured tactics earned him the reputation as "the Negotiator." During the Clone Wars, Kenobi ascended to the rank of Jedi Master, and he occupied a position in the Jedi Council.
TomMace Windu - Though a member of the High Council since the age of 28, this did not dull Windu's fighting edge or his willingness to venture forth on dangerous missions. His exploits are legendary, and he was an inspiration to his fellow Jedi, leading through rigorous example and steady discipline. In his day, Mace was one of the best lightsaber fighters of the Jedi order. It was said only two opponents ever bested him -- Yoda, and Dooku. Only the most skilled of the Jedi could master the his Form VII discipline of combat -- the deadly technique known as vaapad -- for its aggressive nature treaded dangerously upon dark side practices. The Clone Wars were a trying time for Windu, as he had to adapt to the new role of the Jedi as military leaders. Not all the Jedi agreed with their positions as Generals in the wars, and a group of dissident Jedi splintered from the order. When Mace went to parley with these dissidents, he found himself in the jaws of a trap -- the meeting was a set-up. Asajj Ventress, an agent of Count Dooku, attacked Windu. Though Asajj was outmatched and fled, Mace Windu reported this new threat to the Jedi Council. It was further evidence of the rising tide of the dark side.
Clone Commander Cody - Unit 2224 was part of an advanced training program of clone commanders led by the ARC trooper identified as Alpha. Unlike standard Kaminoan educational protocols, this training regimen did not de-emphasize individuality and outside-the-manual thinking. As the Kaminoans adapted to this unorthodox methodology, they allowed their clones to self-apply names, dangling such signs of individuality as a prize for merit. Although self-naming had occurred on the field since the earliest days of the Clone Wars, the Kaminoans and the Republic did not officially recognize the practice; the cloners, especially, considered the behavior deviant. But thanks to the efforts of individualistic clones like Alpha, units such as 2224 got to retain their proper names. Cody's tour of duty included campaigns on Rendili, Koorivar, Cato Neimoidia, Maramere and Boz Pity. He led the 212th Attack Battalion, and was comfortable with leading large units and commanding small attack teams both. Often, Cody would employ a rocket pack, leading his elite units through individual aerial maneuvers. Cody employs the standard issue blaster rifle and a blaster pistol as a sidearm.
