Title: Creature swap

Does Creature Swap Target the monsters that the duelists choose?

I asked this 'cause my opponent ne time said it does when I had just my Infernal Flame Emporer in play and he had Spirit Reaper and Revival Jam in play. He used Creature Swap and chose his Spirit Reaper and I chose my Emporer(unfortunately :( ). But anyway, he said that Spirit Reaper was destroied and he took my Emporer.

I thought that this was fishey :wtf-omfg: and was wondering if that was true.

"Creature Swap" does not target. The "Spirit Reaper" would not have been destroyed.

I thought it sounded too good of a combo

What I don't know is how long does Creature Swap last?
One turn or until there destroyed

Once they are destroyed they are sent back the owner's graveyard.

Until they're removed from the field.

1) You do not select the monsters until resolution. If the opponent Chains with "Raigeki Break" and destroys your monster, if you still have another monster, then you must give that one to him/her instead. If you don't have any left, "Creature Swap"'s effect disappears.

2) As with question one, if either player does not have a monster to swap, the effect of "Creature Swap" disappears.

so if i use creator swap and select my monster then he select his then he actvates ragiki break and kills mine wont i still get his because creator swap already took place and he just be killing his monster the one i selected (the on he be getting) ?

No, because that's exactly opposite of what I just said. >_>

You do not choose the monsters to swap at activation. You choose at resolution. That means that the opponent must Chain BEFORE either player chooses a monster. So if your opponent uses "Raigeki Break" on anything, it must be BEFORE either of you choose your monster to swap. Even if he destroys one of your monsters, if you still have more monsters, you must give them one of the ones you have left, even if it's not the one you originally wanted to give. Same thing if he destroyed his own monster.
