Title: Horror Movies
Tom - May 26, 2005 01:14 AM (GMT)
As a fan of horror movies, I always try my best to get/watch any of the latest ones out, though lately today's horror flicks just doesn't seem to do it like the older ones. Such I'm a fan of Friday the 13th and my favorite horror series, Nightmare on elm Street (which the first one still gives me the heebie jeebies). so if you seen a good horror movie, or have a favorite, talk about it here!
ShadowFiend - May 26, 2005 03:22 PM (GMT)

I think there's a new one...Wax Museum or something like that, my friends tell me that it's nice. (as in scarily nice)
JoMa - May 27, 2005 09:05 PM (GMT)
Most of the times I think Horror Movies are boring...
I saw White Noise not too long ago... When I looked on a site it said it was a horror movie... but I got a feeling that it was more like a thriller...
Touzokuou Bakura - May 28, 2005 04:54 AM (GMT)
Most of the "horror" movies I've seen are mostly just gruelsome and thrilling, but not much can actually freak me out (The Mummy succeeded in doing that though, but that was when I was still in elementary, I think)
sheetro - May 28, 2005 06:25 PM (GMT)
:hehe: awww bless!!!
A good horror was The Grudge (if that's counted more as a horror than thriller) either way - the two genres are SO closely linked anyway...
The Grudge was awesome - I had to watch Finding Nemo straight after - I got too scared heehee!
Horrors are mainly so much fun to watch - they're hilarious. Never watch one with me - I spoil it because of my laughing
Touzokuou Bakura - May 31, 2005 02:39 PM (GMT)
The Grudge was ok...The story was a bit hard to understand, I think it is the American version of the Japanese movie _______ (yeah you've guessed it- I don't know the name of it in English -_-; ) But the part where the face appeared on the window while the two were on the bus was really creepy ^_^; (or course, there are other parts that was creepy too, like on the serveilence cam when the ghost appeared right in front of the cam with those bloodshot eyes of hers)

Touzokuou Bakura - June 9, 2005 01:45 PM (GMT)

king_laharl - June 9, 2005 01:49 PM (GMT)

Touzokuou Bakura - June 9, 2005 02:48 PM (GMT)

ShadowFiend - June 9, 2005 03:20 PM (GMT)

FINAL Exodia - June 14, 2005 02:41 PM (GMT)
IT was ok. HO1000C was just like all the other zombie movies out there...
You want horror movies that really creep you out? The Hannibal Lector series. It was so disturbing at the end of Hannibal When he was on the plane and he fed a piece of that guy's brain to the little kid...

ShadowFiend - June 14, 2005 03:14 PM (GMT)
lol do you like the old halloween and nightmare on elm street series
Kurtboy - June 14, 2005 03:21 PM (GMT)
Yeah, ive always liked nightmare on elm street :D
Jason also.
ShadowFiend - June 14, 2005 03:28 PM (GMT)
Im not sure but has anyone seen The Shining or Misery
Tom - June 14, 2005 03:44 PM (GMT)
I've seen parts of both and somehow didn't catch my attention O.o
I'll say again, that so far my favorite has is Nightmare on Elm Street, I mean, you got to love a villian with some flare and always has jokes about his victims, even in the style of killing them.
Point in Case:
In 3, he kills this one girl who wants to be a TV actress by smashing her head into a TV, and of course delivers one of Freddy's famous lines "Welcome to Prime Time, B----"
My close second is the Hanibal Lector Series. Sure he's creepy, but he's such a gentleman :P
ShadowFiend - June 14, 2005 03:49 PM (GMT)
I hope they make another Nightmare on Elm Street
Tom - June 14, 2005 04:10 PM (GMT)
Sadly that probably wont happen. Though they may make another Freddy Vs. Jason movie.
ShadowFiend - June 14, 2005 04:17 PM (GMT)

Tom - June 14, 2005 04:21 PM (GMT)

ShadowFiend - June 14, 2005 04:24 PM (GMT)

Tom - June 14, 2005 04:31 PM (GMT)
Too right. Though the current one was a bit dark, but the older ones was just fun.

The Shining is an awesome movie. It's a little hard to understand the first time you watch it though.

^ please don't double post
I've heard of red rum, my dad said he and my mom watched it ages ago...never seen it before myself though. what's it about?
Arina - June 15, 2005 01:50 PM (GMT)
That would actually be from 'The Shining'. It's 'murder' spelled backwards. It's been so long since I've seen it that I can't give a very good discription but it's a family that ends up taking care of this haunted place (a hotel or something, wasn't it?) and all sorts of freaky stuff starts happening and the dad goes insane. Can someone help me out by giving a better explination about the movie? Bleh. Don't know where my mind is at the moment.
FINAL Exodia - June 15, 2005 04:30 PM (GMT)
This guy gets a job taking care of huge mountain-top hotel for the winter. His little son and his wife go with him for the winter. When he gets the job, his employer tells him what happened to the last caretaker. The last caretaker ended up getting "Cabin fever", and killed his wife and twin little girls with an axe, then blew his brians out. When the new family comes, the guy is trying to write a book. His son keeps sees things, like the twin little girls, and the word "Redrum". Eventually the father get very angry with his family, even violent. His wife locks him in a storage cabinet. Then the ghost of the former caretaker comes and lets him out. He convinces him that he must kill his family. The father gets an axe and breaks down the door to their room. The wife and son get away, the father freezes to death outside overnight. The end.

I was never a big fan of horror movies, until I watched Signs. I hated it like crap because it was so STUPID, but then I realized what a GREAT horror movie was (anything but Signs), and got into the whole horror movie gig....
Touzokuou Bakura - June 29, 2005 01:00 PM (GMT)

I watched Jason X yesterday on TV. It wasn't as bad as I'd thought, though Uber Jason looked reeeeaaally freaky.
