so the film is going to be out on the 14th of sept this year in the US and Japan, and for the rest of the world sometime by the end of the year

ok long story short the film is set two years after the game final fantasy 7 and all of the games characters are back and they face three new enermys, which could be sephiroth clones (there names are kadaj,loz and yazoo) and there is a new bahamut in FF7AC called bahamut sin

How irksome, I've been waiting for ever for the movie to release, it better be good.

Well if Sephiroth appears then i hope that he is not down graded in his perspective of invincibility that is install through out game play of ff7 (even though you kill him)

ok sephiroth is in FF7AC but so far in

1) a flashback to when he destroyed cloud's hometown
2) in what looks like a dream that cloud is having (cloud standing on his sword on a tower and sephiroth comes towords him)*see the new E3 trailer for that*

Okay fan girl rant over...i think...

Sephy will come back - its obvious. Think about it. He's one of the most loved bad guys ever! I think in one of the trailers Vincent says to Cloud (rough quote) "If they wanted to, they could create another Sephiroth". The dude in the wheelchair (im 99.9% sure of who it is - i won't spoil but askin instead - do you guys know/have suspicions?) too and now Sephy - all the old characters are coming back. It's a chance for ENIX to show off their amazing 3D skills lol plus that'll keep everyone happy. What's Final Fantasy VII without Sephiroth!? He's a god!!

Does the movie come out in Japan and US the same time? I live in the UK but either way I'm getting it shipped over! I don't care lol! I need it!!

well of some of the new trailers for E3 they say that in the US its out on the 13th of sept and for Japan the 14th of sept so no news yet for the euro release date (square had better hurry with the euro date im losing my patience) i also live in the UK

I don't really mind though - my birthday was on the 16th of this month and my parents are gonna buy me either the Japanese or US DVD (i don't care if it's in Japanese lol!!) jus for ME!! :D That's how much I love it and they know i like it heehee :D

I know this thread is quite old and has been pushed down to thedepths of the lounge's history but I wanted to revive it since it's SO close to the release of the movie.

On my ventures of being online looking for more news I found the biggest spoiler anyone could ever dream of: the full movie. It's just been played in Venice (probably still being played) at the movie things. Anyway, this guy watched it and, together with his friends, noted down the WHOLE FULL story. Me, being the impatient girl I am, read the entire thing and I have never read such an amazing movie.

There are some things I would change about it (eg the story... make it more involving and try to hint at clues etc). I AM SO GLAD THE PERSON WHO I THOUGHT WAS IN THE WHEELCHAIR IS THE PERSON!!! I love this character SOOO much and so glad you get to see his/her face again YAY!! *huggles*

Any more news or anything? :)

The official release of the Japanese version is infact tomoro!!! I can't wait!! I can't wait so much infact that I decided to scope around isohunt for a bittorrent file - u never know!
I FOUND ONE! Currently downloading it.
