Okay. I always like to do made up characters, so here's mine.

Name: Arina Mitchell
Age: 20
Gender: female
Appearances: Arina is 5'3 and slender, with long, dark brown hair with natural red highlights and deep blue eyes. She usually wears jeans and boots, but her tops depend on her mood. Sometimes she's wearing a T-shirt and sometimes a crop top.
About: Arina doesn't duel often and when she does, she's not very good at it. Though dueling isn't her strong point, she's got other skills. She is an extremely talented fighter that doesn't back down, even when she's clearly beaten. She's quite stubborn and can have a really bad temper, so it's best to tread carefully around her. She was raised solely by her mother and they had to keep moving from place to place to avoid her abusive father, who was forever on their trail. Arina isn't wuite sure what happened to him, but he seems to have disappeared, which she's grateful for.

Appearence: Laharl is about 5'1, although rather short Laharl is quite muscular, has short blue hair with 2 long thick strands sticking up, is wearing black boots, jean shorts and a black tank top. Also is wearing a pretty big gold bracelet around his right rist
About: laharl is a loner by nature, he has a very short temper and can become vry distructive when angry. The reason he is a loner is a total mystery, some people think it has something to do with his past but no one is sure cause he rarly speaks to anyone. His dueling abilitys are somehow phenominal and he uses cards to represent his dark and destructive nature. He is also very skilled in using a sword as he spends most of his time practicing his sword skills.

Yay! Others have joined. Once summer break comes, I'm going to have to slow down since Net access is going to be at a minimum since my little bro will probably be hogging the phoneline, but I'll be on as much as I possibly can. Anyway...



*Arina frowned slightly as she looked down at her cards. She wasn't a good duelist- she never claimed to be any good and knew she probably couldn't win a duel to save her life- but she enjoyed friendly games and always had a deck ready. She was currently working on a new dragon based deck, sitting out on a blanket in the park to enjoy the beautiful weather.*

*Laharl decides to stop his sword training and go take a little walk into town*

OOC: I just got a plot idea. What if they end up back in ancient Egypt? I'm reading episode summaries for the Pharaoh's Memory arc and I thought making our characters go back into ancient Egypt would be fun. That, and I'm a huge ancient Egypt buff. Does anyone else like this idea? If you do, more info for the plot will come as I get ideas.



*Studying the cards that she had in front of her, Arina was running scenarios in her head as she built her deck. Oh, she doubted that any of them were winning strategies, but she only dueled for fun. Winning and losing didn't matter to her so long as she had a nice opponent and some decent conversation during the duel. As far as she was concerned, that was what the game was all about- having fun and making friends.*

ooc: That'll be great, seeing that Bakura sama is from ancient Egypt...But I don't think ancient Egypt has those cards yet, unless you want them added in to the story.

ooc: Ancient Egypt??? Sounds like a plan to me ^_^

*While wandering round town Laharl notices a girl by herself in the park with what looked like duel masters cards and decides to go take a look*

OOC: I'm glad to hear you both like the ancient Egypt idea! ^_^ Well, Touzokuou, that's fine since I wasn't planning on having them in ancient Egypt yet! I was thinking they could be sent back to ancient Egypt! Sorry I didn't make that thought clear! I'm really bad about that sometimes! I'll try to get better about that.


IC: *Bitting her lip, Arina added another card to her deck. Her resources were limited, so she had to make due with what she already had. That was fine, though. She liked the cards she had, even if most of them were second hand and a bit worn.*

ooc: ok...So, I won't be appearing just yet then.

ic: *As Laharl approches the girl he realises that she did have dule monsters cards so he walks up to her and chlaneges her to a quick duel.*

OC: Glad the two of didn't mind picking colors!


IC: *Arina looked up from the cards to the guy who had just challenged her.* "I'm really not very good, but I'm almost finished building my deck, so if you really want to duel, I supposed we can." *She didn't duel often and she never actually challenged anyone to a duel, but she was always more than happy to accept a challenge, even if she wouldn't give the opponent much of one.*

*Laharl shuffles his deck and places it in his duel disk "Well considering I offered the challenge you may begin"

*Arina nodded and added the last few cards she had picked out to her deck before climbing to her feet, shuffling her deck well and putting it in her own disk.* "I don't know why you're still bothering with me, but I'm up for it." *She drew her cards and was about to make her move when a streak of lighting came from the perfectly clear sky and struck the ground nearby.* "Okay. Is it just me or was that plain weird?"

*Laharls stares in utter shock that a lightning bolt just struck so close to him from a clear blue sky" Where did that just come from?"

"I haven't got a clue." *Arina frowned as she studied the ground where the lightning had hit, staying where she was.* "Shouldn't lightning hitting the ground scorch the grass or something? If so, that bolt didn't." *She yelped as another bolt hit the ground, this one closer than the first.* "I don't think we should be hanging around here."

*laharl, still in shock is still staring blankly"yes I agree, it apears unsafe to be here, but what is causeing it?*

OC: Okay, so I want to get to Egypt fast. :D I can't help it. I thought the lightning would be an interesting way for it to happen.


"Well, that's the million dollar question." *Arina snatched up the cards that hadn't made it into her deck and the blanket, intending to head off at a run. Unfortunately for her, it didn't work out that well. The next bolt of lightning hit her directly and when it faded, the only sign that she had even been there was the blanket, which was laying crumpled on the ground.*

ooc: so, in a way, that lightening tranports ppl to ancient Egypt when it hits someone? o.o; interesting.

ooc: I like the idea, nice job Arina ^_^

ic: *Laharl also tries to run away but is caught by a bolt of lightning.*

OoC: Thanks! :D I just wanted to try something different.


IC: *When the light faded, Arina found herself in the middle of a desert. A very large desert. She couldn't see anything on the horizon in any direction and she hoped that the sand dunes were just hiding it from sight. The last thing she wanted was to be stuck in the middle of a desert with no clue as to where she was, especially without provisions.* "Well, this is just great." *Her voice dripped sarcasim as she tried to figure out which way to start heading.*

ooc: laharl probably won't be online for a week, are we going to wait for him or do we continue and play his parts for him?

*sees flashes of lightening in the distance, but there were no clouds in the sky, what's more, the lightenings are bright green*
"What the-"
*decides to go and check it out*

*arrives near the scene*
"Hm? Who are they? And what odd clothing they are wearing..."

OoC: Let's just wait for him. That seems the most polite thing to do.

ic: Laharl awakes after being struck by lightning and finds himself surrounded by sand with no one around him at all "What happend, last thing i remember was about to start that duel then lightning started to flash and we both got struck, man this is confusing? Well I guess its for the best, well best for her I would have just beat her too easy. Well I better try and find out where im at" So laharl sets off walking to try and find where he is at and if he can find someone else who is here

IC: Picking a direction at random, Arina started off. "I never would've won that duel- he looked strong- but I would've rather lost than be stuck wandering through some desert with no clue as to where I am." She was now in an extremely bad mood about the whole thing and couldn't wait to figure out where she was just so she could start hating the place in connection with its name.

denzu stood up and looked bemuzed and said "[COLOR=green]damn that lightning was a trip" denzu looked round in all directions suddenly he saw someone in the far distance so he decided to go in for a closer look

ooc: well we are definently not together, I woud say there is a bit of a distance between us as well, or at least I am away from the other 2

ic: While wandering around Laharl still is unable to see anyone around but can just make out some buildings so he decides to go take a look

OoC: Sorry I'm not posting as often as I should. My brother is out of school for the summer, so my access is limited. That and we've been getting ready for his b-day on Saturday. Well, it's Thursday, but the party is Saturday.

IC: Arina was uncomforatbly aware that there was sand in her shoe, but she really didn't want to stop and empty them. "Surrounded by sand, they'll just end up full again." Needless to say, she was not a happy camper.

*as denzu stumbled to his knees he realised he was lost he knew he was dead but as he was about to go out a shadowy figure appeared over him

ooc: well im not sure how ill have laharl meet up wih the rest or infact what he'll do befor meeting them so ill just make stuff up along the way

ic: As Laharl kept walking towards the buildings they just seemed to keep drifting further away from him"Am I hallucinating or something? Those buildings just seem to keep sliping away from me"

ooc: ^^^ lol, I got that too when I took a trip to a desert. in the end I just gave up on clearing out the sand from my shoes. but all the sand just kept on weighing down my shoes -_-;

Still trying to get to the buildings Laharl finaly gives up because of exaustion and lies down on the hot sand " Ah screw this I give up, i'll never reach those buildings befor I pass out so I may as well just give up"After this Laharl decides to just go to sleep
