Control: Meaningless term used to describe a deck that generates advantage by either:
1. Gaining more card advantage (Draw power)
2. Limiting opponent;s card advantage (Hand Control,Aggro)
Most decks are control of some sort. Control is usually used to describe Hand Control which includes:
Don Zaloog
Airknight Parshath
Spirit Reaper
Chaos:
-Deck revolving around removing monsters:
Gren Manju Da Eiza
Chaos Rider Gustaph
Chaos Greed
Chaos End
Bazoo the Soul Eater
-Deck revovling around Envoys
Black Luster n00b
Chaos n00b dragon

Chaos is the Term used for decks revolving around the card BLS, or Black Luster Soldier. This deck is often called CCCC (Cookie Cutter Chaos Control)
Control is the term used to describe decks that rely heavily on limiting your opponent's options in duel. Common ones are Don Zaloog that limits your opponent's hand size, Spirit Reaper which does the same and keeps the field in Contorl, and the D.D. Monsters (DDWL and DDA) as well as Exiled Force that keep your opponent's side of the field limited and stops their defense.
Also, if you don't know, Cookie Cutter is a term used to describe the "Un-original" decks and monsters that are topping the meta-game and everybody runs, AKA Chaos (BLS), Zombies (Vapire Lord) or the ever popular Zombie-Chaos.
Get it? Awesome.

wat is your problem with choas decks????
cant you beat them or summit??
every duelist that uses a choas deck, u seam to slag off. why?????
king_laharl - May 19, 2005 09:03 AM (GMT)
cause obviously he is sick of people not being able to think for them selfs, of decks that are so alike that the game no longer revovles around skill but instead luck(yes I dont like chaos decks, I find them all them same, same strenghts, same weakness). Control decks on the other hand are fun to run, but they can be annoying to face but atleast you find more varitiy in control decks than n00b I mean chaos decks.
Yoma Black Dragon - May 19, 2005 09:15 AM (GMT)
i dont play choas but they are interesting to play against
find new ways to beat choas decks if you are fed up with losing to them all the time
king_laharl - May 19, 2005 09:22 AM (GMT)
I never actualy said I keep losing, infact it the total opposit, thats why I hate them so much i find them to easy to beat.
snakeman - May 19, 2005 01:42 PM (GMT)
thats because you what is in there deck before yo duel them and you can fix up a deck that can easily destroy it but you tend to not be able to use the cards want to and try them out as far as playablity

Chaos, in my opinion, is highly overrated. It's just gained popularity due to it's power and ease of use. They're hardly invincible, as most Chaos duelists believe them to be, I don't think I need to remind anyone of how I held my own against a pre-Ban Cookie Cutter CED Chaos deck with an incomplete and extremely crappy version of my feline deck. That alone should tell you just how overrated those decks are. They're only powerful because most people fall for the hype surrounding them, and fail to plan accordingly.

Crap. put that in the wrong thread. Sorry about that. And Xyber, it was NOT meant as an attack on you. Besides, I dunno what gave you the idea that I posted it to humiliate you, in the first place.

Chill man. S'aright. Dude you really shouldn't take me seriously. Heck I don't even take me seriously.

i don't really see what the problem with chaos is, but i suppose its because i dont see alot of people playin chaos in my area. I play chaos but very rarely, (i rarely do play with my main deck).
anyways after awhile any deck can be predictable so if youve battled that deck before then you can prepare for it next time!

BLS can do 3000 Damage a turn.
CED is broken.
That's the problem

Chaos Decks are not easy to use. They are easy to build.

Seconded. When Chaos was new in America, I built a Chaos Deck on YVD...just a basic Chaos with nothing special. Tried to use it...failed. Many times. The way the deck played was too different from my style, I couldn't get it to work properly. The good Chaos player knows his deck's flow and tunes himself into it.

Sadly, none. I live in a magic the Gathering town, and the local card shop only hosts MtG tournaments.
