6.14.04 Movie Pack Misconceptions

"I want to correct a few misconceptions I'm seeing in the public about the upcoming movie packs, and I want to pass some info along. Feel free to spread this around.

There's 2 different kinds of "movie packs" for the upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Movie.

First, there's cards you can get when you go to see the movie itself. Nobody knows what these cards are outside of Shueisha/Konami/UDE/4Kids/KidsWB. Repeat: NOBODY. So when somebody says they know what they are, don't believe them, because anybody who DOES know isn't going to tell you.

Second, there's an "Exclusive Pack" that you can buy at stores that contains 8 cards from the movie. This "Exclusive Pack" will debut at the World Championship in July. Nobody knows what these 8 cards are outside of Shueisha/Konami/UDE/4Kids/KidsWB. Repeat: NOBODY. So when somebody says they know what they are, don't believe them.

There was a press release that said one of the cards was "Peten the Dark Clown". That is correct. The press release also said that one of the cards was "Inferno Tempest". That is also correct. The press release also said there would be a "great sphinx" (note the lower-case...) card. That is also correct.


KidsWB is running a contest for the "Card of Sanctity" card. That's different. I will tell you right now, as a fact, that Card of Sanctity is NOT going to be in the Exclusive Pack you can buy at the store."
