twinturboturtle - May 2, 2005 08:00 AM (GMT)
i'm sorry i post questions on this part of the forum. but this is the only part i know of. so...i know i know i'm not suppose to but.. it seems that this is where everyone goes to so... ehh.. please answer my questions.

1. can black luster soldier be special summoned by call of haunted/premature??? if not then how can it be special summoned? if it can, then does it need to remove monsters from graveyard to be special summoned?

2. on my opponent's turn, i activate last turn, can the opponent activate a quick play magic card FROM HIS HAND to initiate a chain? or does it have to be set to be used in a chain?

3. can TIV's effect be used on opponent's turn?

4. if there are 2 abyss soldiers on the field, and i throw away a sinister serp. does BOTH soldier's effects work or only one of them?

please answer me guys!!!! i need official rulings here! or give me the site to go to for rulings. that would be great.

I'll answer the other questions for you:

1) He can only be Special summoned with Call or Premature after you've already Summoned him with his Summoning Requirements, though you only need to do it once, then he can be special summoned as many times from the graveyard, so long as you have a way to do it.

3) No.

4)Nope, you have to choose which Abyss Solider you are using the Sinister with, it can't be with both.

Actually, for #2, the card doesn't have to be set for it to be used. You can play quick play magic from your hand at anytime during your turn as long as you got the space to do it and a legal target when activated.

For example, in a last turn deck, during the standby phase, you use Inspection once to lower your life points, but he can chain that by using MST, and you wouldn't be able to use insepction again.
Also, this relates to the imperial order chaining debate. if your opponent activates imperial order during yoru turn, you can chain it by playing MST from you hand, destroying imperial order, but imperial order's negating effect works for the previously played magic card.
So yes, your opponent can chain last turn by playing a book of moon from his/her hand.

Extending Tom's answer to number one:

Special Summon-only monsters like "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning" only need to have their Summon cost paid once, unless the monster is sent to your hand or Deck. So if you Special Summon "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning" by removing 1 LIGHT and 1 DARK monster from play, and you want to use "Call of the Haunted" on it, you do not remove more monsters from play to do so.

Correcting spawngod316's post:

"Also, this relates to the imperial order chaining debate. if your opponent activates imperial order during yoru turn, you can chain it by playing MST from you hand, destroying imperial order, but imperial order's negating effect works for the previously played magic card."

None of the Spell Cards will be negated by "Imperial Order", as the effect of a Continuous Spell or Trap Card disappears as soon as it is removed from the field.

when I said "previous magic card played" I mean the magic card that is played SO imperial order can chain to it and negate it. pardon me; I should have been a bit clearer.
