by far the gratest anime of all time is akira which was really the first big budget anime to be realsed in the west personally i think that without akira there would be no yu gi oh or any other anime i think akira was the only one that could break enough ground to make the west say "hey were adults and this is for us " opinions pleas

The plot was a bit much, but I understood it (after watching it a few times) but I think the Manga is better. But yeah, I liked it. I even managed to find it on DVD for like ten bucks.
