I have a gripe.

It has been brought to my attention that a new moderator at WAFF (Marsman/GrkWebMaster) is using (on a web site he promotes there) a logo that I created (which also happens to be Lord's avatar). The even funnier thing is that he has taken and modified the logo used by this here forum (WCF)!

I could also complain about him (and many others) using pictures that I myself scanned and posted on the internet (through http://www.hellas.org) without giving some credit or a link back, but he would be one of many to do so.

But on the bright side, at leats we know that a WAFF moderator frequents this forum. :lol:

I must admit that I have posted many military pics from

http://www.freewebs.com/gfile/index.htm on another forum and gave him credit for them..( not WAFF ...am I allowed to mention which forum??) If in fact they are your pics and you posted them first I will change my posts....as it really pisses me off when people take credit for something thats not theirs.....not that they claim it as their own..but the fact that there is a lack of acknowledgement from where the information came ..people make the presumption that it is their..design/pics/info ect...

Its happened to me in the past.....

Today i welcomed King Leonidas...and he also used an images that i created for a forum some time ago... :lol:
dosent bother me about King Leonidas...but from time to time wouldbe nice if we gave some credit to people who create such nice pics/foto/images....with somekind of refference at least...

GRKwebmaster have recieved a email from administration of our WCF...to remove the Logo...
Nobody can use the Logo that I created for WCF...it is unique and copyright...and dedicated only to WCF
Digenis about the avatar i thought we haid a deal...no? :D
Maybe you want to use it? i could create my self another one...no prob...

I have no problem with you using that logo, in fact, I'm quite proud of it. :)
In any case, you "paid" me back with the image I use in my signature.

The issue I have is with people using pictures or logos without giving credit. I do not have the copyright to the images on my site (that belongs to the photographers and the magazines I scanned them from), but I give credit to them. It would be nice if others did the same.

ITs is very sad to read this post and to see everyone fighting for recognition ive created my site to promote some pride in our armed forces and if u read the discleamer on the bottom of my main page i clearly state the all images belong to there respective owners and are displayed for educational purposes.

i have placed a thread in this forum and others asking for the assitance from member to make my site a background and none was intrested so i did take this forums background and add a few little extras to it. I can understand that your not pleased with that lord and i will remove it but i will also remove the link to this forum which i have posted on my links at your peoples request to help promote this forum and i did that so i can give somthing back to this forum hundreds of hits a day come to my site.

And people here have the cheek to accuse me of not recognising them or being selfish. I run that site at my own expense so young greeks out there can lift there heads and feel strong about there county and there people i get heaps of praise emails and ask for nothing in return so i leave it to you to ask me lord to remove it and i will.

Its something else to use images...pics/photo i didnt haid any problem by giving you any pic i haid or would have...
Most of them arent even mine...
But the Logo of WCF is created for WCF.
In a few months this forum will be open and payed...so i just copyrighted some pics...together with the logo...that belong to me.

I wouldnt mind either if you asked me about creating for you a logo...i would gladly do so...
I could create for you something and only with greek weappon systems...

What exactly is "sad" about my statement or the position I am expressing? The first logo on your page was created by me. The majority of the pictures (and even the text descriptions) you have are from the site I maintain (http://www.hellas.org) - since 1995 and with personal expense. Is there even one mention or a link to their source? Obviously I would be asking too much for permission, a thank you, or "recognition", but you could have at least made mention of the site you "borrowed" the content from.

As far as WAFF is concerned, I don't think you are going to put a dent against "anti greek properganda". That forum is populated (the vast majority at least) with immature and ignorant members who expose nothing more than their mental shortcomings. If you wish to play the mod with such a crowd, I would honest recommend you spend some time with kindergarten children first (to get a taste of the challenge). In any case, good luck.

Would you mind if I share my views about the wonderful artipiece by Lord? I think the Digenis emblem (yellow one) on the left below may be a little bigger to establish a better contrast.

ANYONE can use ANYTHING I have created for public display as long as there are appropriate credits given. If you have an acknowledgement or links page, then that would be fine.
