Since there are a few Pontian Greeks, like Lord and GrkPonti on this board, I would like to know if the ancient "Tulum" which is widely being played by the Laz in Turkey, is conversant in Greece. The instrument has it roots in central Caucasia, and the legend says, that it was taken to Scotland by the Georgian Knights who have formed the "round table" of legendary King Arthus.
...the sample below is very precious, since it is played by my eldest brothers father-in-law. He was a formidable Tulum player if not one of the best and an outstanding, very charismatic person. We have lost him to lung cancer 8 years ago.
