Obviously it is hard for things that are normal and accepted in societies where Western neo-liberalism is valued, to be valued in Turkey full of Kemalism. But it is normal for conscript soldiers without leadership, surronded, ambushed to surrender instead of living out born soldier fascist myths where you die fighting for some military court.
