Guys,

I wanted to share these very exciting news. TSK has demonstrated the battle value of Firtina.

What the following article says is that 30 PKK terrorists attacking a military base were killed by Firtina fire from another base. Follow the google maps link at the end to see 40km fire range.

PKK'lıların geçen salı günü Şemdinli'ye bağlı Yeşilova karakoluna yönelik baskın girişiminin Türk yapımı "Fırtına" adlı 42 kilometre menzilli obüs topların ateşiyle püskürtüldüğü ortaya çıktı. Teröristlerin saldırısının başlamasının ardından karakoldan verilen koordinatlar doğrultusunda Tekeli karakolu civarında konumlandırılan sekiz Fırtına'dan PKK'lıların üzerine atış yapıldı. Atışlar sonucu PKK 30 kadar kayıp verdi.

And why is that so special and exciting?..Every weapon system from slingers to nukes are designed specifically for that...

My mistake. I thought ability to transfer attack vectors in real-time and hitting targets over 40km in real battle conditions, using a third rate product by a third world country would be a news item for a military forum but looks like I'm wrong.

PS.Why do you use the name of a Kurdish leader?

Actually, it is a great news for Firtina's success in militarily usage. 42 kms - point shoots crucial in these areas. Coz many PKK terrorist camps are already in these kms.

we don't use these weapons for Quandil Mountains due to 100 kms distance from our border line. Quandil Mountain is between the Iran-Iraq border and mainly snowy environment.
