Coming back after dissapointing showing 4-5 months ago, Micheal Katsidis comes back with a vengance and beats the sh!t out of Fillipino star Czar Amonsot. Unfortionatly, Amonsot had to be hospitalized after the fight because of the brutal punishment that Katsidis gave him.
Go Kastidi, now its time for revenge and beating some Mexican ass!! :battered: :applause: Unfortionatly there are no Turks in his weight class that would give him any competition. He must now fight Asians or Mexicans for competition...

By Chris Cozzone / Photo: Chris Cozzone It was last night's show-stealer, but the consequences might go well beyond the WBO lightweight belt that was at stake. Filipino Czar Amonsot, who lost a punishing decision at the hands of relentless Michael Katsidis, in one of the co-features of the Hopkins-Wright card last night at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, was taken to the Valley Hospital and given a CT scan. In their 12-round fight, Amonsot received dozens of punishing blows to the head. After the fight, he was rushed to the hospital under suspicion that he was suffering from a subdural hematoma--or bleeding in the brain. Neurologists have ordered an MRI on Amonsot's brain to reveal more. Amonsot's team remains hopeful for their 21-year-old fighter, saying a blood clot is unlikely as Amonsot has not lapsed into a coma.

Good news on the Greek championship, but I hope the Filipino recovers and quickly. Hate to see boxers get injurred or hurt.
Yes, he did recover, thank God. He had hemroging in his head. Not too severe, he had surgery and is expected to make a full recovery. Boxing has made big steps (but still not enough) in the protection of its fighters in the last 20 years. It is a very dangerous sport, but noone likes to see anyone get injured or hurt, especialy the fans and mostly the fighters themselves.
BTW, the title was WBO, World Boxing Org. title, one of the 2 most credible of the 4 world titles (WBA, IBF, WBO, and WBC-the original title belt, the one from Jack Johnson, to Joe Louis, to Rocky Marciano, to Tyson, etc). So he is now the bona-fide World Lightwieght Champion :applause:
