419 pages very long to read . but i will when i have time.
but basicly cihad is call for muslims to war when islam and country is in danger.
otoman used it in the beging very rear . in 300 years 3 times. and every body joined it.
but when things started to go wrong. every 4 5 years the emperor also the leader of muslims started to call for jihad . so nobdy started reply or take care for.
after Ataürk finished empiricy he destroyed the statü of sehy ül islam which was ottomas for 400 years. after yavuz took it from eygpt.
so thill then nobody in the world was a seyh ül islam ( islams king ).
because if e muslim country would come and took it from ottomans then they would be seyh ül islam. !! but Atatürk just vanish it so nobody could claime it.
now in the world lots of religious people go out and say jihad but look s funny .!!! ;) .
we mostly dont thrust religious people here to much.

I do not expect anyone to read that whole PDF.
According to that study in classical Islam jihad is something always there. What had to be justified under classical Islam was to have peace for more than 10 years with the harb.
In the Christian world it was always the opposite, justifications for the waging of war have to be provided.

Now comes time for hard to deny proof of the Turkish use of the concept of hudna or a false truce or negotation to fool non-muslim peoples:
| QUOTE |
| "There is no doubt that England, France, Italy and Greece want to disintegrate us today. But if we make peace under the aegis of a foreign power, we shall be able in our own interest to revise its stipulations as soon as the conditions are favourable." |
Ataturk, Mustafa Ghazi Kemal. The Great Speech. Ataturk Research Center, Ankara; 2005. p. 87
Openly expressed approval for the abridgement of the concept of war crimes and their punishment:
| QUOTE |
IX. --Sanctions
At Sevres: ...Turkey was to surrender all person who commited actions contrary to the laws and customs of war and who had made themselves guilty of cruelties in Turkey and had been participating in deportations and other similar actions. ...
Proposal of March, 1922: There is no question of this condition. At Lausane: The same. |
