Promoter Frank Warren announced the deal today. The 28 year-old from Luton will have his work well and truly cut out against the 26 yea-old from Toowoomba, Queensland.


Katsidis, who is nicknamed 'Rocky, has a perfect 21-0 record with 19 stoppages and will provide Earl with the toughest test of his 25-0-(12), record.

The fight will be televised, gentlemen, onESPN2 Friday Night Fights and Will be watched/reported on!!!

21-0 with 19 KO's??? Ouch! We may have an upset with our greek-autsrailian mate here... And the WBO title is the most reputtable as well. Hope he keeps his head together!

WBO #2 lightweight Michael Katsidis (21–0, 19 KOs) has pulled out of his February 2 ESPN bout to face WBO #1 Graham Earl (24-1, 12 KOs) for the interim WBO lightweight title on February 17 at Wembley Arena in London. Acelino Freitas is the current WBO titleholder. Also featured on that card is a heavyweight clash between Audley Harrison and Michael Sprott, plus lightweight wunderkind Amir Khan vs TBA.
