Because Silencers arent so ''silent'' as you think .The niose level is like a 22l.r.

Thanks Pagratios for the info, but isn't a crossbow a little bit uncomfortable to carry around. You got the crossbow what's nearly one meter in diameter and than you have to carry even those arrows too. Personally, i think it's to much pay-load for a sniper to carry around. Nevertheless, that OYK member looks kick-ass with the crossbow. By the way, can anyone of you guyz ID this crossbow and give me a specific name?

I am not sure but I think it is a Hunter Max 200 it costs about 1000 €

hi,
crosbows are still used in world sf for 2 reasons
1 they are realy silent .
2 they use blade heads for hunting and this blade heads can pass through most of the bulet proff wests . becasue knifes can some of them . blade head arows pass most of them
and also they are used in hostage rescue senarios . mostly for urban areas.
such as ýf there is a hostage in side a apartment the window can afect the bulets flying course . so first the crowbow soldier shoots the window and window would be broken than instantly sniper would shoot the bad guy.
but using a optical sight ist good they got realy good range to go but from a 60 70 meters you must target a elephant or bull.
because the wind, the arowweight the plastics feathers angle, the holder of arrow in front of the crosbow would realy affect the ability to shoot the target.
but still if it is a barnet demon model. or a horton it would realy cause a big problem for the person who got shot with it.
