I found an article about the book publishing industry in Turkey and tried to match up the figures it listed to statistics of the Greek publishing industry. The statistics for Turkey are listed first and then the corresponding Greek statistics if any are listed after the slash. I did not match up alot of the info found in the article, since if no one replies it does not matter anyway. Since the article was written in early 2005, I assumed they got the statistics from the Frankfurt Book Fair that happened in late 2004. So I assumed the Turkish statistics were for 2003 and I listed corresponding Greek figures for that year.

SourcesThe only real Turkish source is the article
The Turkish Book Market: Hoping for a Push towards Modernisation posted on a German site that deals with relations with the muslim world in January 2005. I could not even figure out if Turkey has an institution similiar to Greece's National Book Centre.
For Greek statistics there is alot more info existing on the net. There are English language sources like
The Book Market in Greece(PDF) and
Indisputable Gain of Confidence of the Publishing Market in Greece(PDF). There is also the large Greek language PDF
