Last June my gf and I visited Milos.
Milos is one of the western Cyclades islands. It is of volcanic origin, and that why it has many minerals (and many mines, unfortunately) and the general look of it is unlike most greek islands.

This is where we went to swimm the first day. It was close to where we were staying, but nothing spectacular. If I remember correctly, it was called Firiplaka

The same strand, photographed from a hill in the opposite direction (the photo above was taken actually behind the big rock in the middle)

This photo was taken on the way back from the strand. Notice in the back the hill, where the signs of the excavations to take some minerals are obvious

The next photos are from some small strands that we discovered along the way. I particularly liked the turquoise colour of the sea. I think it was called Tsigrado
