ANCIENT GREEK MELODY ON ANCIENT LYRE

Text to video:

My rendition of the ancient Greek song,"Song of Seikilos" - the first fully notated melody in HISTORY!The song dates anywhere between 200 BC and 100 AD.Although fragments of a few older melodies have been found, this is THE earliest which has survived in it's complete form!
The melody to the song was inscribed on an ancient Greek burial stele, with this epitaph "I am a portrait in stone.I was put here by Seikilos, where I remain forever, the symbol of timeless rememberance".
It is (rather crudely!) performed on the nearest thing I could get to an ancient Greek lyre
