This is Realpolitik in action.

Read the Plan B article by Seymour Hersh and you will see. Interestingly enough, this article was published more than a year ago.

Israelis used to and still train Turks, so no big deal... :D

Aor7 - September 20, 2006 04:41 PM (GMT)
In fact, it is a big deal, and not only for Turkey...

So we have israel and the US of A supporting the kurds,we have the USA planning an attack on Iran(it will happen) which means that the kurds will earn their aytonomity in 2 of the 4 countries they want, the Iraqi Kurdistan will mutilate Iraq then Turkey will want to lay hands on the kirkuk oil reserves, then we all know that the US of A likes a mutilated Turkey better...This hole scenario is a nightmare at best...It would explode the hole region but it would(?) leave the loving Israel intact. But then again we have the Us-ican evangelists who want an armageddon pronto...Now if we take into consideration how close to the present Us-ican cabinet they are it makes someone tremble...So in the end we end up with a mutilated Turkey,Iran,Iraq and Syria and a new Kurdistan state or with the whole region devasted...Or the worse possible scenario a wwIII... Last night i saw an Us-ican evangelist who is a close friend of Bush saying that Iran must be hit and will and that they expect by 2013 the rupture which brings us 7 years closer to the final judgement...After having watched him i lost all hope for life and progress....

Right or not I have faith in God's justice, therefore I don't give a damn about such people, not to mention that I laugh full of satisfaction when shit hits their fan, no need to explain it further... :D

As far as it concerns the show on TV, nope, didn't watch it, unfortunately...

I think you all got a litlle carried away. From Israelis training Kurds for Uncle Sam(and probably signing up some new spies for themselfes) to doomsday scenarios.....

It only means that US trainers have their hands full training Iraqis and Afghans for doing their job and gave this secondary job to someone they think they can trust(the Israelis).Of course its something Turkey is worrying about, since its quite possible that the Kurds who received special training will pass their knowledge to their PKK friends.

KOKORO - September 23, 2006 07:49 AM (GMT)
yes

we can realy observe this with weapons .

normaly pkk has had ak 47 bıgsy draganow and hand granades.

now nearly every week in news some people get caught up.

they all have glogs or sig saugers.

when you look at them they are people even u cant talk or cominicate like ( ork or uruk hai type people and very new hand gun s. )

they mostly buy them from north iraq from 500 us dolars. and sell them here to 1000 to 2000 us dolars.

and now new tactics are being taugth to them . and the info will pass too.

Is a bit older but interesting:

Police launch investigation over suspicions that Israelis sold equipment, transferred intelligence information to Kurds in northern Iraq.

The Israel Police has launched an investigation due to suspicions that Israeli security and business officials exported security information and equipment to Iraq without approval from the Ministry of Defense.

The police investigation was launched after the Defense Ministry completed a comprehensive investigation, following an inquiry carried out by a Yedioth Ahronoth magazine.

The investigation found that during the last two years, secret Israeli activity has been taking place in northern Iraq, home to the Kurdish population of the country. Security equipment was transferred and veterans of elite unites gave security information. Weapons training was also provided, and an airport was built by Israelis in northern Iraq.

Helping Kurds
According to the investigation, leading Israeli companies sold the Kurds technology and complex electronic equipment, as well as electronic fences, guard dogs, watchtowers, motorcycles, tractors, and more. The business activity involved hundreds of millions of dollars.

For many months, veterans of elite units stayed in Iraq, and set up anti-terror Kurdish unites. The activity was carried out by the Kudo international company, who is co-owned by an Israeli living in Tel Aviv, while his associate is a senior government figure in Kurdistan.

From now on nothing more is being selled. And those who selled or provided there intelligence the last 2 years will face punishment.
Is this Israel doing for fun or from pressure of Turkey?
So as Israelis where there not to sell ice-cream or provide information in breeding of birds (all was security related) Israeli presence there will stop.
Seymour Hersh had 2 years ago an interesting article about this.
This step will open doors for deeper Turkey-Israel cooperation. As there were many suspicion over Israeli moves in the last 2 years there and harmed relations.
All this indicates that things are getting serious and Israel was put to choose beetween door 1 and door 2.
Israel chose the right door.

Here is a political TV-magazine from for 2 years.

Ehud Olmert was that time minister in Sharon cabinet.
The other person in this magazine is Ümit Özdag.

Very interesting, it is all about this Israeli-Northiraq connection.

it is about 8.30 minutes:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3b52-uX-dzU

For our english-speaking Forumers:
In the video, there is Ehud Olmert and Ümit Özdag, Özdag summarisez Israelian press reports and analysts views about Israeli activity in North-Iraq and throws it to Ehud Olmert.

Ehud Olmert then says, that he could not believe he is confronted with such allegations and he thought that this political magazine was a serious one. Olmert puts it that way asif Turks would see paranoia in this Israel-Northiraq connection.

We know it all better.

A DEBKA article titled 'Iran and Turkey Prepare for War in Iraqi Kurdistan' and dated Sep 24 2006 states that:

"Turkish and Iranian air units as well as armored, paratroop, special operations and artillery forces are poised for an imminent coordinated invasion of the northern Iraqi autonomous province of Kurdistan".

"Our sources pinpoint the target of the combined Iranian-Turkish offensive as the Quandil Mountains (see picture), where some 5,000 Kurdish rebels from Turkey and Iran, members of the PKK and PJAK respectively, are holed up. Iranian and Turkish assault troops are already deployed 7-8 km deep inside Iraqi territory."

Anyway, the article is *very* interesting. Definately a 'must read'.

Wont this scenario make things even worse than they already are?Wont kirkuk's taking by the Turks lead to direct confrontation with the US? And then another thing emerges, the possible eradication of the Kurdish people by the Turks or the Iranians will go unnoticed?..And if Iran iccupy northern Iraq what will be the Israily response?

The US is only interested in cheap and secure Oil supply.
Kirkuk's oil is anyway transported via Turkey.

The value of the North-Iraqi Kurds for USA is only the option to settle thing swith Iran militaryli.
When USA sits down with Iran on a table and negotiates, the Kurds aren't needed anymore.
So the Kurds are a card to be played for the if-case.
The Kurds are 100% dependent on USA.
They have no luxury like Turkey had in pre-Iraq war to say no to USA.
When USA attacks Iran North-Iraq will be a front and Iran will respond with all it has.
The Kurds are being used as cannon-fodder, and they like to be it in prospective to get their independence.
When things get worse, this Barzani will be flown to USA with all his wealth. The normal Kurd will suffer, not only from Iranian artillery.
