I think that a 2 Mbps line is very good.I had a similar line for more than 3 years.At first I thought it was never enough,downloaded about 1gig of videos,music and other stuff per day and burned about 30 CDs per month....

After a year or so you I got bored of it.I downloaded only stuff I am really interested in and I am hardly burning more than a DVD-R per month.So yes,OTE is finally starting to deliver some serious internet connection.It would be interesting to know though how much of Greece is covered.... (islands?)

Well i've been using the net since 96 and i have abandoned that stage to download everything i see everyday, but it really gives my nerves when i wanna stream and download at the same time...I could install a bandwidth limiter but yet again 384 kbs is even less than nothing.....

Let me add, that Forthnet also sent an email, that ADSL speeds will be doubled at no extra cost, at the moment OTE upgrades the telephone lines, that Forthnet uses.

BTW how much time do you have to wait in Greece to get your line after you have made the request?

Here in Italy its about 20-30 working days.

From 1-4 days depending on local network.
