Süleyman Onatça, yaptýðý açýklamada, otomobil üretiminin 2001 yýlýnda finansal krizin olumsuz etkisiyle 175 bin 343 adete indikten sonra ekonomideki olumlu geliþmelerin etkisiyle 2002 yýlýndan itibaren yükselme trendine girdiðini ve 2005 yýlýnda 453 bin 663 adete çýktýðýný söyledi.

2002'de 55 bin 96 seviyesine inen otomobil ithalatýnýn, son 3 yýlda büyük bir artýþ saðlayarak, iç pazar payýný 2005 yýlýnda yüzde 70'lerin üzerine çýkardýðýný belirten Onatça, iç pazarýn yeterince artýþ göstermemesi nedeniyle, üretimin büyük ölçüde ihracatýn katkýsýyla arttýðýný, 2005 yýlýnda 300 bin adedi geçen ihracatýn üretim içindeki payýnýn yüzde 70'leri aþtýðýný kaydetti.

Bu yýlýn ilk 5 ayýnda toplam taþýt araç satýþlarýnýn 293 bin adet olarak gerçekleþtiðini, geçen yýlýn ayný dönemine göre yüzde 13 oranýnda arttýðýný ifade eden Onatça, "Ayný dönemde otomobil satýþlarý, 2005 yýlýnýn ayný dönemine göre yüzde 15 artýþla 167 bin adet olarak gerçekleþirken, ithalatýn pazar payý yüzde 71 olarak gerçekleþti. 2005 yýlý eþ dönemine göre yerli otomobil satýþlarý yüzde 3.8 ve ithal otomobil satýþlarý yüzde 20 oranýnda arttý" dedi.

2006 yýlýnýn ilk 5 ayýnda ithal otomobil satýþlarýnýn geçen yýlýn ayný dönemine kýyasla AB ülkelerinden yüzde 21, Doðu Bloðu ülkelerinden yüzde 8 ve Uzak Doðu ülkelerinden yüzde 23 oranýnda arttýðýný belirten Onatça, bu yýlýn Ocak-Mayýs döneminde, geçen yýlýn ayný dönemine göre toplam hafif ticari araç satýþlarýnýn yüzde 8.2, ithal hafif ticari araç satýþlarýnýn yüzde 16, yerli hafif ticari araç satýþlarýnýn ise yüzde 1.3 arttýðýný ve 103 bin 888 adet olarak gerçekleþtiðini kaydetti.

2006 yýlýnýn ilk 5 ayýnda, geçen yýlýn ayný dönemine kýyasla üretimin, otomobilde yüzde 15 ve toplam araçlarda da yüzde 13 arttýðýný belirten Onatça, þunlarý söyledi:

"Bu yýlýn ilk ayýnda toplam sektör ihracatý geçen yýlýn ayný dönemine göre ayný düzeylerde gerçekleþerek 6.2 milyar dolarla ülke ihracatýnda ilk sýrada yer aldý. Otomotiv sektörünün toplam ihracat içindeki payý yüzde 23.6 seviyesine ulaþtý. Bu dönemde 109 bin 339 adedi ticari araç ve 164 bin 213 adedi otomobil olmak üzere toplam 273 bin 552 araç ihraç edildi. Geçen yýlýn ayný dönemine göre adet olarak ihracat yüzde 15 oranýnda arttý."

With a 13% rise in exports in the first 5 months compared to 2005 the Turkish automobile sector continued her growth, rising the expextations to reach an export of $15bln in 2006.

The automobile sector has since 2005 taken the first place and put the textiles industry to a 2nd place in terms of export.

That would be tha only time i would say iam jelous...nutuk...
for decades i said greece should produce Cars...
The Balkan would been our best market...
If i see right now scoda...or the spanish Seat...or even the rumanian Dacia...
iam getting angry with our "industrial" minds...who gived only priority to the merchant ships..
we haid a big time oppurtunity in the 80s...but nothing happend...

anyway....if turkey starts producing some mercedes...
who knows i will be the next customer.. :applause:

Turkey does produce Mercedes, trucks and busses :P

However there where plans to have a Mercedes production site for automobiles, I don't know the progress on that.

no Turkey produce alot of parts of mercedes..but not a mercedes like car...(that was my point...you know iam a Daimler fan for live..lol)

About the trucks i know...

to spare parts
one for a mercedes truck of our firm...was..made in Turkey...
and the last...was an order i made...for our Ford Transit connect...
a light..(fanari) Made in Ford Istanbul... :damn: and i paid 95 euros for this part...
after asking a friend in turkey he said...
aman...Theo i could send to you...for 30 euros... :drink2:

Damn... do you Turks...have everywere your hands...? :gang beat:

My buisness cars are Turkish now.... :o

A new addition to those factories will be BMC truck factory which will be producing trucks and spare parts and will recruit more than 1000 workers. Its location will be Turgutlu/Manisa.
