To join Savunma & Strateji you must either be invited by the administration or be in touch with a mod or admin who will recommend your membership and guarantee your good behaviour (or something like that)

I've seen from the memberlist that there are a lot of members of this board who are member there, do you all know the mods and admins there? I don't know them, at least not by their nick :sbof:

Of course I have a problem with you, especially when you write many bs things in other forums.

The reason i wanted (and still want) to go in this forum, is to watch the comments of the turkish guys about the greek defence evolvements, as I have noticed that here, and generaly in every forum, turks are VERY unassertive, NOT expressing their opinion.
About the turkish language, I didn't know that it was a turkish speaking forum (as many turks are diaspora turks anyway), but even with that, well, there are translators around (Systran, etc)... ;)
Beleg, If I was a secret agent, rotlfmao, I would not need your reccomendations... :D

It's just my impression.
For example, I have never seen Turks disagreing or criticising the Turkish defence purchases. Isn't this enough to be noticed and draw suspicions that there are other things underneath the surface?
On the other hand, Greeks all the time swear on their politicians, Chiefs of Armed Forces branches, themselves, eachother, etc.. ;)
Cid - February 15, 2006 11:21 PM (GMT)
I think this generalization is due to your lack of understanding about Turks. For example regarding politics, Turkey is a very polarized country. In the past and even today people of different political backgrounds would go as far as to fight with eachother or even worse. But there is no sense of continuing the politcal paranoia and pissing contest online. Most of the people here are fed up with such fights and this forum is not suitable for such content of cursing.
Pytheas - February 16, 2006 02:20 AM (GMT)
Cid, -sorry for the mild language- I care sh*t about the internal Turkish political agendas and disagreements.
I just want to have a taste of how turks comment the greek arms purchases, but also some of the obviously scandalous procurement of theirs, like the Sabra MBT, the on-going Spruance, etc...
Cause As I told you, I believe that here I see only the front-glass of the shop...
Am I wrong regarding that in a purely Turkish forum the condition is different?

Alot of times Turkish members critisized there purchases and there police...
Its simply...you have to read what they are writting...lol
Simply they dont use offenting languae when they are talking about there leaders...
The WCF is a platform were the known Net War dont work...and we arent interesting to create another forum like the old one's..
But believe my words the Turks are 100% like the Greeks among them...Iam afraid that there Mentality is the same like our's///
Thats why we have also this hate Love relations... :drink2:

Pytheas you mean to "acquire" the real thoughts of Turks when they arent "threatened" to tranquilize their thougths ?
1. You imply that Turks have thoughts that they only express when they are together with their compatriots
2. You grow up with a certain image of a Turk
3. You miss Turks that argue like you or act in the same manner like you ?
4. You strive for truth ?
5. You strive for the new ?
6. You strive for self-actualisation ?
You either will be able to confirm your picture of a Turk or you will have to overwrite your saved data and create a new picture of Turks
All will depend on your perception.
Pytheas - February 16, 2006 12:58 PM (GMT)
123, if greece was making purchases like the Sabra, the Spruances, the K-9, or was starting "indigenous" projects like this indigenous tank (that only as a fund whirlpools for the "ours" I see it), or if my enemy was getting U-214s, FREMMS, Leo2HELs, PUMAs, Scalps, Patriots, etc,
excuse me, but I would have more things to say than silence (or even yupying)... :)
Just go through some threads about our (well, if you consider greece "yours") F-16 purchase, to watch the reactions of the greek members... And we are talking here for a brand new and a very tested and capable platform. ;)
I just suspect to view in a "turkish" forum, a different image. Is that annoying to YOU? And why?
Also you say that I "grew up with turk stereotypes"... hummm... I urge you to visit Cyprus to experience some nice slaps to your OWN stereotypes.
Also a friendly advice, DO NOT read only the ISLAMIST newspaper Zaman. It will help YOU (the citizen of the world, rofl) to also understand the other side of the river.

1. "I would expect more than silence..."
- Do they really show silence... ?
- If yes, you transfer, to some extent, your possible reaction to the one of the Turks (and conclude that the possible are quite different)
- If your observation/perception is right --> Why do they act like they act ?
2. "I just suspect to view in a "turkish" forum, a different image. Is that annoying to YOU? And why?"
- My previous post: "You either will be able to confirm your picture of a Turk or you will have to overwrite your saved data and create a new picture of Turks. All will depend on your perception."
- It is not annoying. It is just a individual seek for truth. You try to understand and cannot lead to annoyance.
3. "Also you say that I "grew up with turk stereotypes"... hummm... I urge you to visit Cyprus to experience some nice slaps to your OWN stereotypes."
- I refrain, as far as I can, from generalizations.
- According to you, historical occurences show the "true nature" of peoples
- I would say you might be right but mankind itself can be formed as others like it (simply through different knowledge, also includes lacking knowledge). So the "societal pressure" makes man less the pure genetical base.
4. "Also a friendly advice, DO NOT read only the ISLAMIST newspaper Zaman. It will help YOU (the citizen of the world, rofl) to also understand the other side of the river."
- First, yes I admit information build the person.
- Make some suggestions for newspapers that represent the view of the other side of the river
