I have the strong feeling that the netherlands will go for the cup...don´t ask me why,it is just a very strong feeling.

Everybody who knows about the dutch-german football "relation" will understand why the netherland-NT will die to get it... :applause:

And they have the best team imo...ready to face anyone,even Brazil.

So..I say the final will be Netherlands-Brazil! :)

Naturally I will be supporting the Dutch national team. The dutch are as always in good shape and usually make it at least to the quater-finals during the cups.

But I think overall the Brasilians are as usually too hard for the dutch teams. Also the penalty is something most dutch players arent good at. I still remember the play against Italy in the semi-finals of 2000. The dutch players missed about 7 penalties I believe :damn:

Anyway; are you kidding me, Ivory Coast played awesome. They just were unlucky to be in the poule of death. Like I said earlier, their weakness is in the defence, but their offence and especially the midfield is tremendously strong. I must honestly say I never saw the Dutch national team defend so much for so long in their field with so little counters, wave after wave the Ivorians made offences. Sadly for them they made so terrible mistakes in the first 30 minutes of the game and that they coudnt score the equalizer.
Like Dutch player Van Bommel said, Holland played lousy, but the victory is great because Ivory Coast was so strong. Its a pity for the Ivorians, had they been in another poule they shurely would have passed. I think they have the most potential among the African teams, if they work out their defence and also adjust their mentality (more confidence) they could beat any European team. Too bad they have to wait for another 4 years.

Now like the first match, I actually didnt like the play of the Dutch team in the second match. They have serious problems in the defence (giving too much room for the oppenent). The offence is is pretty much ok, especially the long balls are well receieved. Also the flanks are much stronger and Van Nistelrooy en Van Persie now have the mental advantage because they made their first goals in the Cup. BTW all goals where awesome and I enjoyed the match very much. Again I must say I never saw Holland defend so much, at least that is some achievment for the Ivorians.

And in the end I guessed it right 2-1 for Holland :woohoo:
