It is already out in the USA and soon also in Europe. The genre is fantasy and from the impressions I got it is somehow a crossing between The Neverending Story (high fantasy element) and Lord of the Rings (large battlefield shot in New Zealand).

I am looking forward to this movie, as true and good fantasy movies are rare.

Yes indeed, dont know why they named the lion Aslan, perhaps they thought it sounds cool or perhaps there was a history fan who liked to read about Alp Arslan hehehe
