Title: Making movie screenshots on PC
Cid - August 24, 2005 06:26 PM (GMT)
Does someone know how to make screenshots of movies on your pc. I have been trying but by some sort of fluke when making screenshots of the movies, it doesnt take the picture of the film within the screenshot.
Perhaps its because of the media players I tried. Does anyone know a media player that does allow to take a screenshot of a playing film?

CyberLink DVD player is what i use. For DVD's :P
If you have a TV Card there must be a program with it that allows to cap.

If you have a decent video card, try watching the movie at fullscreen, and then taking a screenshot. I assume your pressing the Print Screen/Sys Rq button?. Press it several times, for me sometimes pressing it once, it wont work. No idea why. Also, if you havnt paused the movie before hand, try pausing it. It may not be working due to the image still moving.

Well I have a good videocard, ATI Radeon 9800 pro 256 mb.
I dont think it has to do with the videocard but rather with configurations. Havent solved it out yet. Perhaps there is some configuration to protect it from making screenshots. Its very weird I tried everything, but it doesnt actually capture the screen, the film image isnt static/solid. And when I save it as JPEG or other file, it looses the film image.

You mean something like this?

This is a very common problem. you may need a special Video cut/edit program.

Yes it finally works. I dont know why it does work now, it seems very odd. I havent chnged much on my PC, except I updated the driver of my video card a few days ago. But still after I updated it, it still didnt work immidiatly but its doing fine now.

PS The movie is 'The Passage of the Great Buddha' from 1966. Its international title is Sword of Doom, a very good movie with a protagonist being the bad guy hehe, great story.
