God of War:
Oh man this game really rocks, especially the greeks would love it. It takes place in ancient greece. But its not a historical game, its based on greek mythology. You play Kratos a Spartan warrior. He deosnt exactly uphold any moral or ethics as he shows no sympahty to any those around him. He is the bad guy protagonist. He is cursed with visions of the past and certain gods promiss to help him rid of his curse if he works for them.
In the beginning of the game you see Kratos jumping of the cliff to end his life. You dont see him dying instead, the story takes you back to 3 weeks earlier. Now you can take the control of Kratos. After walking through a couple of ships learning the basics of the controls and killing few soldiers, you have the fight Hydra a giant sea serpent with multiple heads. Man fighting it was awesome and the graphics and fightings look verry good even better then Devil May Cry. Having defeated the Hydra I am now ordered by Athena to kill Ares, the God of War.
This game looks good, story is good and the action very fun. If you like adventure/fighting games this one should be on your list.
PS: A hollywood director has bought the film rights and plans on making a movie out of this.
Lets hope they manage to keep the dark and mysthic feeling the game has and dont ruin it with hollywood tendency of overabundance of special effects till your eyes hurt and a lousy story/plot so that the movie becomes unbearable to watch.
