I just finished watching the first 3 eps of Gokusen and it's so good!! =D =D

Class 3-D's homeroom teacher: Yamaguchi Kumiko really moved me because of the kindness she showed towards her students..
And now I must go watch the rest + download the hard subs as I only have ep 1-3 downloaded -_-

Here's a quick synopsis of the series for ppl who haven't watched it yet :

The story of a young, idealistic teacher who enters Shirokin Gakuen with hopes of making a difference in the students' lives. However, Yamaguchi Kumiko (Nakama Yukie) is in for a rude awakening when she finds that she will be the homeroom teacher of 3-D, the hardest class to maintain in the school. The students have multi-colored hair, sloppy uniforms, and show absolutely no respect to her. The leader of the class, Sawada Shin (Matsumoto Jun) is lazy but shows some interest in Yamaguchi when he notices that she is very different from other teachers. The students try to bully her to make her quit, but their attempts don't get them very far.
What the class and the rest of the school does not know is that Yamaguchi Kumiko is actually the 4th generation heir to the Ooedo Group, a notorious yakuza clan.

So yeah ppl go watch the series if you haven't already!! It's a happy, cute drama and is also quite funny^^ And the music for this show is good too!

its got plenty of cheese but i watch tv dramas for mindless entertainment anyways (movies get the harsh criticisms...unless they have good cheese like in army of darkness!)

i want gokusen 2 beucase it has kame. i coudl care less for gokusen 1 :P

I don't know why, but the Cantonese dub of Gokusen 2 on TVB sounds better than the Japanese original...

Yes, you guys can watch it too if you download or satellite TVB...weekends at 9 or 10PM...(HK time)

I love Gokusen~! I couldn't stop myself from watching it once I got into it. And of course, there's Matsumoto Jun in it *steals him away*

The only thing I have to criticize is when Yankumi "fights" - it doesn't look realistic enough to me, I guess.

Also...eventually every episode becomes a carbon copy of the last, with Yankumi "winning over" one delinquent student after the other. :P

Yes, that too... it was a bit repetitive. Every episode she got one of her students to like her, and she fights and wins ~_^ At least it's better than Gokusen 2 though... :P
