Title: Taiga Drama
Description: Anyone?

Satsuki Shizuka - July 19, 2008 07:54 AM (GMT)
Since there's a bit of a following in UTAMA (given our huge membership body), anyone here follow historical Japanese drama, NHK or otherwise?

I used to watch Yoshitsune XD But getting the subs was really really hard. Then I was too lazy to watch Furin Kazan ;_______; I should go get it...

Chinese subs by PPX or SUBPIG are prompt. If you want Furinkazan, I have it all in Chinese subs ^^

And I'm following Atsuhime now.

(BTW, if you're too lazy or too busy to follow 50 hours+ of stuff, there's something called the summary edition, which condenses it to about 6 hours)

Atsuhime is done, and Tenchi-jin brings us back to the later years of the Sengoku period, with the life of an Uesugi retainerNaoe Kanetsugu.

It seems that unlike Furin-Kazan, the theme this year is in the portrayal of a benevolent and genteel kind of Samurai spirit, in light of the recent societal conditions in Japan. Of course, they had planned these dramas years beforehand...
