I really like this series so far. I never read the manga, but I might read it after. The storyline is interesting and it's pretty funny. I'm sure really "artsy" people don't like it, but I think I appreciate people in the arts more because of it. It's sweet and cute at some points, which would appeal to girls, but although it's sappy at times, I think guys will enjoy it too. I say this because it was actually my bf who introduced me to this jdrama, if you can believe it. It's like an "everyday" slice of life drama for people in Japan. My students enjoy it. Happy watching!
OMG!!!! is there a new tc drama for hachikuro!!!!! O_O <3
I read the manga, watched the anime and will get to watching the movie drama one of these days.
I will definitely check out the jdrama then. are the actors the same as for the movie???
Didn't really like it for my tastes. For one of the splice of life genres out there though, it's above average. But it's one of those things that you'd just let run in the background and still get the story. There's no real progress for the characters, with the probable exception of one.
NANA has bit more spliciness IMO.
I like it so far.
I really enjoyed Ikuta Toma (Takemoto Yuuta in the series) in HanaDan, he's very dramatic and funny.
I was surprised that Narumi Riko (Hanamoto Hagumi in the series) got the part for Hagu-chan. I recognised her from 1 Litre no Namida. You could say this is kinda a big break for her, imo. I'm not sure whether she fits well with the character but that could just be b/c the character of hagu-chan sometimes annoys me.
Mukai Osamu who plays Mayama is so cute though <3 totally fangirling him
My fav pairing in the story (also applies to the anime/manga) is by far nomiya (Kashiwabara Takashi)/ayumi-chan (harada natsuki). although kashiwabara kinda reminds me of my cousin which is kinda weird <_<
