i downloaded the first episode from animesuki.com

it was good!

I havn't read the manga, anime or the taiwanese live drama series based on the original manga/anime (in taiwan it's called meteor garden or something like that), but from the jdrama's first ep, i found it very interesting and the characters are very unique, the main character especially :)


Makino Tsukushi, the main character, comes from a really poor family and is a very courageous girl who believes in justice. Ever since kindergarten, she always has always beaten up people who makes her friends cry. However, this has all changed when she entered highschool. She's very timid and just want to be left alone. She has no friends. She's a loner! Why? Because her highschool is the most exclusive private school in japan! She is surrounded by rich people everyday. She just wants to get through highschool without causing any ripples. Unfortunately, this has all changed when she offended the leader of the school idol group, the F4, comprised of four unbelievably handsome and rich guys who practically owns the whole school with their family's fortunes! How will she get through highschool now?

Genre: highschool romance, comedy

I've watched Meteor Garden too, but I'm assuming that the jdrama version is going to be better. >_> It's kind of odd how they didn't choose to make one until now..

I'm d/l-ing the Hana Yori Dango live action now~ along with Gokusen =3

I watched the anime + read the manga, and I figured, why not try the live action^^ hope it's good =D

this is the first time watching something raw :P because i couldnt stand waiting for soft-sub. it was really good!!! ahh

Haha, really wanna watch Hana Yori Dango just to compare w/Meteor Garden. Hm. I think some of the charas are more like the manga (look wise) and in some parts, the media thinks Taiwan did a better job (character wise). So I wanna make the comparison!!! Maybe someday, sometime, somewhere....

I remember watching the anime, I am curious to see the live action verion. I thought the F4 looked dorky esp the guy with the short curly hair ^^;

I just watched episode 1 yesterday and episode 2 today! I *really* enjoyed it ^__^ I only read volume one of the manga, and that was a really long time ago. But my friend who watched it with me had read up to like... volume 9 of the manga, and she told me that even though it was a bit different, they did a really good job ^^

I LOVE Tsukushi! She's so cute and cool! At the same time, she's not 100% bold ~_^ Which I like. She cries sometimes and does have weak moments. But she's still such a strong, unique main character ^^

This show also has a lot of sponsors XD Which probbaly explains why it's made really well! The cinematrography is amazing. And the music! The music is so awesome! It's like Harry Potter or something! And the cast, setting... aaiii... *eyes swirl* I really really like how this is all put together.

By the way, a lot of people here seem to have seen the Taiwanese version. Is there any place I can get it? O.o

it's pretty old so i can't find any torrents for it. i'm not sure where to get it. try asking at

Hmmz...after watching the first 2 eps (subbed) I realized that they completely changed the storyline from the anime/manga....
characters were left out, the story was changed around, the progression of the story goes faster and Sakurako and Shizuka aren't supposed to appear till later!!! X.x

But nevertheless, it's still good^^
Mayumi Sada (Todou Shizuka) is very pretty =D
And Oguri Shun (Hanazawa Rui) is hot :wub:
And his character is oh so cool..I want to meet a guy like him XD
The main character Tsukushi's not bad looking either, and Matsumoto Jun (Domyouji Tsukasa) is as cool looking as ever ^^

I finished watching Hana Yori Dango!! =D
And it has a semi sad ending T__T

i finished before you, it had a great ending!

I want a sequel T_T the HYD storyline isn't supposed to be finished yet!!! ><"

I loved HYD! I just finished watching it on youtube.com ^__^ I wish there was more too.

didn't know about the season 2, but i was expecting it... afterall the 1st season only covers half the anime (no clue about manga as i never read it)... and they pretty much states that we'll meet again etc etc...

Yeah I am really excited about season 2 XDD They were also having votes on what eps they should do from the manga.

Totally can't wait XD I love the actress who plays Tsukushi

More MatsuJun! He played an awesome Domyoji (even though I haven't watched/read any other incarnations of the series) and I'm looking forward to seeing more of how the story turns out.
