About my Character
Name: Oran
Age: 2 years
Gender: Male
Appearance: His eyes are golden with specs of brown throughout them. His muzzle is brown, as well as parts of his hind legs. His back is dark grey, like his head and ears. His eyes are surrounded by a cream color, though, and his cheeks share this color. His chest is cream, as well as his underbelly, which he rarely shows. His tail is a mixture of grey and brown, with a tip of black. He is a strong wolf, with a just over average build. His pelt is almost always clean, something he is meticulous about. Any chance he gets, he will wash off the dirt and grim accumulated during the day. He is a big wolf, too. At only 1 year he was a big as his 6 year old father. He uses this to his advantage some times.
Personality: Oran loves to play, though he won't admit that. He isn't the smartest wolf around, but he isn't the dumbest either. He means well, but he can't always see from another wolf's point of view. Once he makes up his mind about something, it takes a lot to change his mind. He is stubborn, and that is barely even a good thing.
He is careful around other wolf, being rather large, and will do anything for his family. He is a bit awkward with pups, and does everything he can to avoid babysitting duty. He is afraid he will hurt the pups, and therefor very careful around them.
Oran prefers winter to summer, like most wolves. He loves to feel the cold snow under his paws, and especially loves snowflakes. He sometimes licks the snow, though he has been told before as a pup, by his mother, not to. He is happiest in this season.
History: Oran was born in late winter, early spring, to the alphas of his pack. He was the biggest pup the pack had seen, and was most likely to become the dominant male. He grew up like any other pup, his parents made sure of that. When it was time to come out of the den, Oran explored first. He was scolded plenty of times by his mother for wandering to far from the pack. He was still young then, and always wanted to play. He once almost smothered his little sister, Amaris, the runt of the litter. He doesn't remember any of his pup hood except the time she wouldn't wake up. She was still breathing, but barely. He took care of her that night, and made a promise that couldn't be kept. He promised he would never let anything else happen to her while he was alive. Oran became very protective of his baby sister, never letting her go anywhere without him. They became very close, and their parents couldn't figure out why Oran was so protective of the runt pup. Once Amaris was punished by the beta male, and Oran stepped in, growling viciously at the older, stronger wolf. He, too, was punished, but he still watched over Amaris. He gave her space, but wasn't to far away from her at any time.
Finally, the pups turned two years old. Oran was still the biggest, and Amaris still the smallest. A week after that, a devastating forest fire swept through the forest in which they lived. It killed Oran's parents, their new litter, and others in the pack. He and Amaris went separate ways, along with the other survivors. When the fire died down, Oran went back to his home to inspect the damage. He found the ashes of his pack, and thought Amaris to be dead. He circled his home, whimpering and whining, for days. He eventually stopped, running for miles away from the memories. He currently has no pack, and is doing fine on his own.
