About My Character
Name: Amaris
Age: 2 years young
Gender: Female
Appearance: Her eyes are a light golden-brown color. They show the sadness and happiness she has endured in her past, and they almost always betray her. They show others how she feels, if you look close enough. A thin black line can be seen straying away from her eyes on either side. Her pelt is mixed; a bit of gray on her back, tail, chest, head, and ears, but otherwise a cream-brown. It is dirty most of the time, but she tries to keep it clean when possible. She isn't the strongest wolf in the pack, and sure doesn't look it, either. She is currently a loner, and is a bit thiner than she should be. When she is healthy, she looks to be of average build. Her teeth are her strongest weapon, like most wolves, and her legs can carry her a long distance over a short amount of time.
Personality: Amaris is a sensitive wolf, and very protective of her family, of her pack. She wishes to have pups someday, but seeing as she has always been subordinate in her pack, that wish is highly unlikely to happen. She settles for watching over the alpha pair's pups, and likes to stay on their good side.
She isn't always a gentle wolf, and in moments of need, she is pretty powerful. If a wolf insults her family-- her pack-- she will forever hold a grudge against them and possibly attack that wolf. Amaris hates to hold grudges, but she will. She is more of a lover than a fighter, and really, she hates fighting. She thinks a pack not only needs a physically strong leader/alpha, but a smart, mentally strong leader. Amaris is a smart wolf, and usually thinks with her head instead of her feet. She likes to think things through before taking any action.
Also, she is very shy. She tries not to attract attention from any wolf, especially negative attention.
History: She was born to the alpha pair of her pack. She was the runt of the litter, and it was truly amazing she had lived. The pack was extremely well-off, and so they could afford to care for a premature pup. Her pack treated her like any other pup, and unfortunately, was by her litter-mates as well. Since she was the runt, she wasn't as big or strong as the rest of the litter, and when they play-fought with her, they sometimes got a little to rough, and their mother would have to intervene. As they grew older, the pups developed a strong bond. The alphas were surprised when Amaris's brother, Oran, shared his usually larger portion of the meat with her. He saw that she was smaller than he and the rest of their litter-mates, and it was then that he made up his mind to protect her no matter what the cost. He was the biggest in the litter, the biggest pup the alphas had ever had, actually. Oran shared his food with her if she was hungry, and he made sure none of the other wolves hurt her. The beta wolf of their pack once punished Amaris by nipping her ear, and Oran was by her side in a second, barking at the older, bigger male. Oran was punished for his outburst, but did the same thing 2 weeks later.
The alphas, their parents, were still baffled as to why Oran was so protective of his younger sister. The reason was because he had come so close to killing Amaris when they were both only 3 weeks old. Amaris had forgotten this, but Oran hadn't. He thought he was a monster for doing so, though he was only a pup.
But this made him stronger. He kept the other pups in line, and didn't let any wolf attack what he thought was his "fragile" littler sister. He was most likely to become the next dominant male. Amaris was glad he acted as her protector; if he had not been, he or another of her litter-mates might have smothered the small pup to death. She was grateful to Oran, and learned many things from him. She learned that family is most important, more important than the well-being of yourself. Oran had barked at the older wolves many a time to protect Amaris, even though he was punished for it.
Finally, she turned 2. Only a week after the marking of her birth date, a devastating forest fire struck in the midst of night, killing the alpha pair and one of her litter-mates, along with the alphas new pups. Oran and Amaris were separated, along with the other survivors. Amaris still doesn't know if her brother is alive, though she hopes he is.
Amaris was alone with no pack, and had to survive on her own. Her diet consisted on rabbits, squirrels, and pretty much anything she could catch. She has been on her own for a month now, and is thinning more each day. She needs to join a pack, soon. At most, she will be able to survive on her own 1 more month before her death. She has made up her mind to start traveling and not stop until she has found a pack that will accept her.
Hello there, welcome to SotW! I'm Zita, and I'll be your moderator on this flight. :)
Everything looks really good, only one thing! You just need five more sentences in her history, you have 15 and we need 20. >.<
Alright, is that good? :D
