-About Your Character-
Name: Taggart
Nickname: Tag
Age: 3 Years
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Taggart has an ivory pelt with hairs of grey and black mixed into it. The darkest patches of fur are located around his shoulder, neck and along his back while the areas near his face, legs and underside are the lightest. His fur is also naturally thick year-round due to the fact that he was raised in a cold region.
Although not very muscular, Tag is quite long and slender. Most of his height is courtesy of his long legs, which also give him a long strive and an even gait. His tail is long and thick as well and his ears are tall to match.
Even though Taggart isn't very proud of his lack of muscle and physical strength, he always carries his head high and takes graceful steps no matter what mood he is in. His voice is as deep as any normal male's and usually has a friendly, welcoming tone to it.
If one looks hard, they will notice a pattern of scars around this brute's face. These scars were caused by the very same wolf who left Tag nearly blind. If it wasn't for this, his eyes would be a beautiful shade of golden amber rather than the milky yellow they are now.
Personality:
Taggart usually has a very friendly disposition. He is always quick to warm up to strangers and chooses not to judge anyone until he has met and talked to them. He enjoys being around others very much and often tries to start up conversations, even if they are about completely random topics. When forced to travel or hunt alone, he acts in a manner as though he were mentally depressed.
Another thing about Tag is that he is incredibly competitive despite a visual handicap that keeps him from seeing as well as he should. He often tries to hide his feelings about having damaged vision and prefers not to talk about it, pretending as though it didn't even exist. But Taggart considers it a personal hobby to try to be better then everyone else at everything. When he wants to get something done or discover the answer to something, he is very persistent and usually won't stop until he has gotten his way.
This wolf also applies to the "more brains then brawn" saying. Since Tag has never been a very good fighter, he has taken a liking to challenging his wit and testing his intelligence instead. He often comes to simple conclusions about the world around him, such as dropping a foreign object into a stream can draw fish to it therefore making the fish easier to catch, and even though they aren't much he is always proud of his accomplishments.
Taggart is very protective of any "friends" he makes and is all too willing to put himself in harm's way if that's what it takes to help them in any given situation. He accepts authority, but isn't very concerned about the social hierarchies found within packs. Even though he likes to be around others, he isn't a big fan of packs. He thinks they are too structured and having ranks makes things more difficult then they need to be. He'd much rather just live with one other wolf or a small group of wolves then in a pack.
History:
Taggart's life when he was young wasn't much different then that of any normal wolf. He was third born in a litter of six and one of only two males in the bunch. They were raised day in and day out by their mother as well as a few other wolves who had gathered together and formed a sort of group. It wasn't much of a pack in the fact that there were ranks and no type of authority. It was rather just a group of strangers who all banded together and considered themselves a family. They were very peaceful, doing whatever it took to keep from getting into arguments or fights. Tag, as well as his siblings, grew up together happily in this group until they all turned to be about the age two and a half years.
By this point, Taggart's older brother, Galax, had become a stubborn young fool and for some reason was intent on "taking over and running the group." Of course the other members had a problem with this but Galax turned into something they thought no wolf in the family could ever be, a killer. He killed two of the group members who dared to tell him he couldn't be the leader and this action was enough to scare all the others into their place. Taggart had attempted only once to convince his brother that what he was doing was wrong but rather then receiving a surrender by Galax, he was attacked and nearly blinded. Galax bit and clawed at his face until it was a bloody mess and Tag's eyes had been damaged in the struggle. His vision was altered that day, limiting his range of sight and turning his eyes into a foggy mess rather then the glorious yellow color they had once been.
In a matter of days, the friendly group that Tag had grown up in had turned into a slaving pack under the power of a heartless monarch. This mess went on for about six months with Galax taking advantage of the group and using them to get whatever he wanted in life. If someone in the group refused to hunt for him, find him a proper den or just grovel at his paws and tell him how amazing he was, he would simply kill them. But one day, Taggart simply couldn't take it any longer. He left the group without saying goodbye to his friends or family, just so he could escape the monster his brother had truly become. He regretted leaving, but he knew now that had there was no going back. For days he traveled and now, he spends them searching for new friends, a new family and a new place to call home.
Man does he look like fun!
