Title: Killing The Plot
Zine Aldasia - February 21, 2008 08:29 PM (GMT)
Okay guys, I've made a decision. I can't make it alone so I want as much input as I can.
I want to kill the Larion plot. It is not fun anymore. I feel like I'm kind of stepping out of my bounds ending a site-wide plot, but I mostly started it (had plenty of help and wonderful ideas from all the other people here, you guys are brilliant! ) so I feel it's my duty now that it's become what it's become.
I have watched the site fall into atrophy for months now, and feel it is in large part my fault for concocting the plot. Ironically, it was concieved to spark activity but has caused it to wane.
The last spike is Arohkien's resignation, and after reading it I hear him saying things I have been telling myself in my heart for a while now.
I want to end it for the good of the site and all the characters and players on it.
The first step, I believe, is to kill Larion. I would, in fact, gladly allow him to die in the fight with the Arashi at this point. Or, failing that, I could have Zine hunt him down as I originally intended. The Kargroth are loose enough now that they may well drift apart without him, or trying to stick together and go on with it depending on how each character reacts. I'm done making characters do things for plots. I feel bad about each time I've done it so I'm going to stop now.
That's why the fun has gone out, I think. The characters have been tied down into pre-decided roles. There's not enough wiggle room and too much bending. Site-wide plots seem to do this.
I've also been doing Larion no justice in his posts, and think it better to get rid of him than to continue on at such a low standard.
I'm sorry about this, I don't even know what to say anymore other than that I feel really terrible. :( I think I was the prime mess-maker, so it's time for me to ask for help in cleaning it up.
So, here's to secret small plots that are fun to watch unfold, here's to unnanounced fights and hidden political machinations. Here's to not tying a character down because of a plot.
I'm going to kill Larion off, you guys hold tight to those characters of yours and join in the fireworks! :)

Again, I couldn't agree anymore with people on this topic. The plot has to go for the sake of all that is Soul of the Wildish.
As for how ending it is going to work, I don't think any of my characters are really involved so I don't know what to tell you. Of course killing Larion is one of the first steps, followed by the collapse of the Kargroth hierarchy as well as the Din'Dea gaining their land back (Won't they be overjoyed to go home :) ).
And don't pin the blame on yourself Zita. Just because you sparked the idea, MANY of us agreed with it and MANY of us got involved with it. How could something so site-wide be controlled only by simple little you? It wasn't your fault at all, no one knew it would hurt activity on the site. But of course, now it's up to all of us to clean this place up.
And yes, a toast to all that you have listed. Small, unplanned plots, secrets being kept in and out of character and lastly, THE DEATH OF LARION! :D
Kaden - February 21, 2008 09:15 PM (GMT)
I think the quickest way to end it would to be having Larion killed by the Arashi, then having the Kagroth, drift apart, and roam somewhat aimlessly in the loner lands, or find another pack to join. Then the Din'dea could possibly head back to their territory, after the Arashi send a messenger, announcing that Larion is dead. Kaden I do believe would be more then happy to kill Larion after he pounces on her beloved Faia. But, tis just a suggestion.
As well this worries me a bit about the Arashi, but as long as they stay a loner group, and that there is no planned future for them, I think it will be fine, and it might keep the loner lands active.
But then again, everything in this post is just my opinion, I joined when the Larion plot was half way through, and never knew what the real SOTW you speak of was like, but I hope I will get to know soon.

I'm making this quick and simple.
Yes. Okay. Its not your fault Zita.
I want Faia and Kaden to deal the final blow together if no one protests. Then Faia can send a messenger.
I still want the Arashi to stay together though, maybe never becoming a true "pack," but when he quiets down and gets his heart in the right place again (with Kaden's help), they can be a home for loners.
I hope that was simple enough.

Eh, sounds good to me. Tlon will be more then glad of this.. X.x!! My poor baby is too old for this kind of thing xD!
It will indeed be nice to get back to normal :x in which case, I'll stave off my Tlon post.

LET'S HAVE ZOREEM BE THE MESSENGER EH? whoops, had it on caps lock by accident...or utada can be the messenger cauz she comes in after the fight...just a suggestion
Faia - February 22, 2008 11:45 PM (GMT)
Either one is fine, Bluey. ^^ one of your wolves can be the messenger. If Utada is coming, it will most likely be her, because Faia will want to keep an eye on Zoreem.
Larion - February 23, 2008 04:31 AM (GMT)
And so it ends. Larion has died, and I hope I gave him a good death. I feel bad for him, myself. He deserved a more competent player. *sigh* Poor fellow.
Well, now I am done with that. I will need to bring Skath in, I think she needs to be involved with cleaning up the mess, as it were. He *was* her brother, after all.

A question from the fight mod (who's been bad and not been around)
Will there be any continuing battles or should we just leave the injuries and such as they stood on my last Mod post for each pairing? Just let me know what you want/need me to do
(dang I missed a lot...stupid move!!!)
Faia - February 24, 2008 12:27 AM (GMT)
I think that for the most part most of the fights are going to break up, but I do know for sure a couple are going to continue for a bit longer. Blue's Zoreem is definitely gonna keep it up until he wins or loses, so you have to watch for that. You can tell which fights are over though.
Kiwidinok - March 2, 2008 05:58 PM (GMT)
For the sake of saving much confusion and time and headache, how about we say that the Din'dea went to loner lands instead of the Amarth...after all, that never really got anywhere so it would be awkward to carry on.
