Name: CloudRunner

Appearance: CloudRunner is one of the few remaining pure-bred red wolves, and like all others of her kind, Cloud is considerably smaller and lighter than the average gray wolf. Her outward appearance can be deceiving, for beneath her fragile-looking exterior beats the heart of a proud warrior. CloudRunner's coat is especially beautiful; it is a pallet of gold, red, black, gray and white. Her eyes are deep yellow in color, and often you can tell what she is thinking or feeling by looking deep into them. She has an air of dignity about her and walks with her head up and takes long, graceful strides, although she has a slight limp. CloudRunner's voice is usually quiet and soft.
Personality: CloudRunner is calm, soft-spoken and confident in her abilities. Due to past experiences, she can be wary of or even hostile toward strange wolves. But her true colors will shine through once she has made some good connections. CloudRunner is benevolent, loyal, proud, and cares deeply about those she loves and trusts. CloudRunner enjoys the company of other wolves, but there is a part of her that craves solitude, and she will often sit by herself on clear starry nights. She is a deep thinker, and often finds herself contemplating the world. She also likes to reflect on her past, and thinks often of her lost mate and family. When it comes to hunting or fighting, CloudRunner is bold, but tactful. She uses a combination of stealth, agility and wits to out smart and out do her opponents.
History: CloudRunner was born and raised in the Southeastern United States (likely Texas). She was given the name Kiera at birth, but later took the name CloudRunner as a way of honoring her birth pack. At 2 years old, Cloud was already proving herself to be a strong leader and a brilliant tactician, she often led the hunting party on their expeditions.
Her father took alot of pride in her, and she would have inherited the pack from him had she chose to stay. But at 2 1/2, she met a handsome lone red wolf who went by Rogan. Rogan was a bit of an idealist, who often talked about leaving the South and journeying to the North where, he believed, there was an abundance of prey and an absence of humans. He asked Cloud to go with him, he promised her they would start a new life, a new pack. Cloud was so taken with the idea, and with him, that despite of her parent's disapproval, she agreed to make the long and dangerous journey with Rogan.
The pair travelled only at night, so as to avoid encounters with humans. They braved many challenges, including numerous stand-offs with territorial wolf packs, and always came out alive. Tragedy struck several weeks into their journey, when one of Rogan's front paws was caught in a wolf trap. Cloud managed to free him, but his wounds were so severe that he could not continue. They took shelter in the forest and waited for his wound to heal.
However, the pair was discovered by the local wolf pack, and despite thier grievous situation they were offered no mercy. They attacked the pair and left them for dead. Rogan later died of his injuries, but CloudRunner pulled through. With one look back, she left her past behind...
...and so here she is today.
