Title: Aura

Aura - October 21, 2007 02:59 PM (GMT)

Name: Aura
Age: 54 moons
Gender: female
Appearance: Aura's fur is pure, glossy white with no markings but the snowy white tufts. Her fur is unregularly thick around her neck, making a tuft like mane. Her tail is bushy like a fox, and usually covers her nose by habit when she sleeps. Her eyes are deep brown. Her build is tall, and thin other than her bushy fur that is atleast two inches thick in its yearly prime. Her paws are neatly white with pale white claws instead of black. Her nose is dark black, a nice contrast against her snowy fur.
History: "Aura, when are we gonna be there?"
"I dont know Aya, its not dark out yet, how do you expect me to know?"
"Well, its not my falt we're lost, now is it?"
"Shutup, we're not lost. And its not my falt we lost our guid!" Aura gave her sister a testy look. Okay, sure, she was lieing. They weren't just lost. They were horribly able to navigate when the trees covered the sky, and worse, she thought they were just going in circles, anyways. "But Aura, we told mum we'de be back by next sundown and if we can't get through this forest we'll never be sent out to scout again!"
"You're just making things worse Aya, really, we'll get back home. Easy-" Aura looked at the forst around her, thinking quickly,"Um, see, look at that big rock, isn't that something they said we'de find?" Nope. She knew it wasn't. It was shaped like a smashed paw, wich she knew she had passed at least three times.
"Okay." Aya said in a dismissave voice and phasing into a patch of silence. She knew her sister didn't believe her. Heck they were lost... Picking up her pace she padded forward, twitching her tail for Aya to fallow. If they were going to finish this scout patrol they were going to have to hurry up. 'Aura, scout out over by the new strip of land we took from Roska, if their is a fox tail within twenty feet of our borders chase them off. Head strait east, won't be far. Take your sister, it'll be good practice to let her see how scout trips work. Take Faustho with you.' She growled to herself as she remembered her fathers orders, 'Da, we dont need Faustho, he has better things to do as beta than running aroung to scout with a Scout and an unranked apprentince.'
Of course, if Faustho was here they'd be on their way back home. Twitching an ear she grumbled, "We Better take shelter for the night."
"How do even know it's night if you can't navigate the stars, Aura?"
"I just do, now come on." She tested the air, a stail scent of fox illuminated from a hollow nearly ten meters from them, an old fox den for Roska probably. Unless they were worse off their track than they knew, and were far beyond their territory. Wich if was true, they wre in for a real interesting night.
"Over here!" She said, trotting towards the scent to a break in the ground, hidden at an angle from a fallen tree trunk, making good cover.
"But thats a fox den for heavens sake Aura! We can't go in their!"
"Oh yes we can, and we are. Look-" She stuck her face in the whole, "it's emty. We can go in, and we are." She ordered, climbing in first and fallowing the passage down into the main den. Aura slunk down to the ground, curling up with her tail over her nose. "Just sleep well tonight, okay Aya? And tomarrow you'll be sleeping back in your own den at the terra."
"We're lost, arn't we Aura? You dont really believe what you say, do you?"
"No.. Aya, I guise I dont. But Faustho didn't come and there isn't anything we can do about it. This could be a pack den of the Roska."
Giving Aura an unsatisfied look, Aya curled up by her big sister and feel silently asleep, leaving Aura to lay there, wondering if any part of what she said was true.
She awoke to the soun of claws and an overwealming scent of fox. "Aya" she yowled on instinct, finially waking fully up and looking around. Claws raked down her side, leaping to the other scaredly, she flung forward her own claws, watching them meet a gingery tail of a fox. fox the word stung her tongue like thorns.
"Get out of my den or I'll have him take her." The fox growled in a low, gurgling threat that echoed from his chest. Take her? She flung her head around looking for Aya. Two foxes! A vixen was slashing for her sister throat, sharp teeth already shining with Aya's blood.
"Get.Out.Of.Our...TERITORY!" Aura yowled, slashing out with every word fiercly fighting the fox back towards the den wall.
"Your territory?" The fox retorted, "Get out of my den, loner!"
"Loner? Loner? I'm head scout of Taskar!"
"Well you not in your place, mutt! Now get out and go away! This is my land!" the fox snapped for her throat, not careing if she was dead or alive. "Take her" The fox grumbled, and on reaction, the vixen snapped for her sister's throat. As if everything had gone slo-mo she watched helplessy as one second Aya was slashing back, and another vixen teeth were clung around her throat, squeezing holes her neck, letting blood flow out in a river... out of her sister's limp body. The two foxes corneredher into the den wall, the male which she had fought all the while speaking while the other backed him up, her sister's throat bloodied in her jowls. "Now get out or It'll be the same for you!" The female growled through her mask of blood. "Now." making room for her to leave, she ran up the passage, and into the forest.
The rain plastered down on her pelt from the tree tops. The leaves blocked out the stars well, but abviosly not the rain as it crushed down. She didn't know if it was day, or still night. Aya.... Her sister would never make it back home, would she? Had her lies come to mind in Aya on her last moments? Running through the soggy rain, tears ran down her face and washed off the blood caked on her from the fight. How could a fox do that? She was still lost... still lost from her pack and she had no idea where it was. The fox's hadn't know what it meant to be of the Taskar. She must be far off track, and if this world had no idea where Taskar's land was, she was never getting back... and did she want to? Her sister was gone, and would it not be better for her pack to think both of us were. She would be a pack shame for not dieing in honor of her sister... Raising a howl in memory of her sister, as her pack would have done, mourning. The howl echoed the trues, an eerie cry in the darkness. It had to be night. "They'll pay for this!" She gumbled. "Aya hasn't died in vain."
