Name: Prior Deception
Alias: Dec
Pronounciation: Deh-sss
Age: Two
Gender: Male
Appearance:
The term used to determine Dec's size might as well be "bulky." He certainly is large for his age, thick muscles cording over his youthful body and rippling under his coat. In fact, he's usually called "oversized" as well, in the bad way, and the good way. Towering over most wolves his age, he has been known to un-intentionally set other wolves running for their lives, even if he is a bit cruel as you will find out in the Personality section. Usually, Dec doesn't hurry all that much, since it seems to him that death is a long time coming. When he does run however, his speed is average, just like almost everything about him. Endurance, strength, and etcetera. Unlike most people would think, his highest point isn't his strength, as one would assume from his muscles, nor is it his speed, although he has long legs, but rather, it's his endurance, which is still just barely over average. Dec has a long but blunt muzzle, overly large just like almost everything about him. Inside it are long and sharp fangs, stained yellow, and too often, red. Ears usually stand erect on his head, as if he was listening intently all the time, but unlike one would expect, he doesn't bother much any of the time. An unusual bright crimson stains his slanted eyes, usually narrowed into slits. With medium-sized paws and big, blunt claws that are colored an onyx black, he can look rather formidable some of the time. Something that quells the dangerous appearance he puts on is his pelt however, which is stained a snowy white, with splashes of gray and cream here and there. Long, thick and silky, he is often snickered at because of it, since males and luxurious coats aren't usually found. A thick silky tail rather similar to that of a Golden Retriever tops it all off, and thus, this odd wolf is formed.
Personality:
One would expect such a large wolf to be sterotypically stern, but kind, but alas, this is not to be. Dec is commonly referred to as a "depressed" wolf, uncaring about many things in life that most would have treasured, and refusing to see the good points. This is also called pessimsm, but we shall hit that topic another day. As odd as it may seem, Dec is put into the catergory of being emotional, or even gothic and he is for that matter. He cannot seem to see the beauty in life, the wonders it beholds, and the unique things about nature, or living, even being alive. Nothing matters, and truly touches his heart. He may SAY so, but then again, you can't really take his word for it anyways. In addition to being emotionally down and depressed, he also has a cruel nature, double-crossing just about anyone who doesn't please him, and often killing to quell his depression for a bit. He may be sarcastic and sardonic at times, taunting, mocking others, and the likes. Often preferring to be independent, he doesn't usually like the help of others, even when he does need it, and desperately, and if you do want to help him, you may as well just butt in, since he's obviously not going to invite you, or even confirm whether he needs it or not. However, if you do interfere, he'll be insulting you afterwards for some time. Refusing to make any close associations at all, partly this is because of his fear that he will lose you, and thus refuses to hold anyone even remotely close. True, he may be oddly kind at times, treating you as a well-known acquaintance, but only in times when he is severly lonely, and needs SOMEONE to talk to.....even for just a short period of time.
History:
Born into a large pack, his parents were merely the Deltas, and he was one of the three pups that they had. The youngest, and thought to be a runt since he was so small at his birth, he was often teased. Strangely enough, he grew much faster than his brother and sister, and dwarfed them soon enough. However, he was still taunted for his snowy fur, as the bullies sought for something, anything to make themselves feel superior to him. They never thought he'd retaliate, and most of their victims tended to stay helpless, but soon enough, Dec learned from his parents and various other elders how to fight and brawl, and thus used this new knowledge to BECOME the bully instead of being the victim. His old enemies now shrank in fear whenever he came in sight, but he ignored them. Making friends with several other puppies that were somewhat nicer to him, time soon passed, and he and his friends were full-grown wolves. They caused a lot of mischief within the pack, harmless fun, but fun nonetheless. They were mostly only lectured about their behavior, never attacked because of it, since they were only yearlings after all. Despite all the ruckus they caused, the elders were rather fond of these wolves, as their actions reminded them of the times they were young. Unknown to the pack however, another one had moved in close by, and were recruiting many members, until they massively outnumbered Dec's pack. Then, the new pack had the advantage of an ambush.
A bloody battle ensued and Dec broke a leg and gained many scars. He saw his parents, and his dear alpha and tutors become murdered. Desperately, he sought out his friends, and left. However, some of them had fallen prey to the bloody claws of death, and thus he was left with only the tattered remains of what had once been a gang of unruly mischief makers. His pack won the fight, but there were now only 2 to 3 wolves, where there had been 15 and more before. It saddened him, but he and his buddies decided to leave, to seek out a new home. They traveled a far distance beforing meeting a bad-tempered bear, and thus another of his friend died. He met many wolves on his travels, and some joined him in his small band, and everyone became close, but alas, they were all murdered by a traitor within the tightly-knit circle. Everyone died, except Dec and his closest friend. It would seem he had a lot of luck surviving everything, but a heavy load weighed down his heart by all the grief he had inside him.
Slowly, it started to rise as he and his friend found a new pack that was kind, but then, a few months later, they were accused of the murder of a well-known elder. The pack set a death sentence, and Dec's only remaining friend died, while Dec managed to escape, hoping to come back the next day to bust his friend out, but unfortunately, the wolves, angered by the his breakout, killed his friend immediately after he was discovered missing. Slowly, the burden of all these deaths sank into him, and he was reformed, not in the good way, but because he had never been able to let go, the guilt and grief slowly chipped away at his former self, and thus, the new Deception was born.
