Look out! LM is in character creation mode again!

Name: Wahchinksapa 'wise'

Age: 12 years

Gender: Male

Appearance: Living for so long has definitely taken its toll on Wahchinksapa. His golden fur is now tainted with gray around his muzzle and around his eyes. His erect auds don't quite hear as well as they used to, and he doesn't always hear a howl off in the distance like he used to. His eyes of gray hold wisdom, but they don't see quite as well as they used to, though he still sees fairly well. He feels the aches and pains of age constantly. Arthritis keeps him well aware of his age. His gait is slow, as if it's just too uncomfortable to go any faster. When in a sitting or lying position, he is slow to rise, and seems quite stiff for a time after. Yet there's often a pleasant smile about him. Always a gentle voice to speak to a fellow wolf. Certainly, the term "crotchety old wolf" isn't completely accurate.

Personality: Whachinksapa has been fortunate enough to remain alive for twelve years. But the aging wolf certainly does not take that for granted. He has seen too many wolves die younger than he to think himself immortal. Yet he hopes he has some time left, for he has an insatiable appetite for passing his wisdom on to others. He does not think his job is yet done. He believes all wolves are put on this planet for a reason, everyone has a certain job or duty to fulfill before they may take their final breath. He believes some fulfill it, while others fail to do so. He holds those with malice in their hearts in the fail to do so catagory. He strongly believes that while everyone's duty may be a little different and unique, the bottom line is always the same. Wolves are supposed to help as many wolves as they can in their lifetime. Certainly, this old wolf is a kind soul, who would never hurt a flea. He is wise, too, never speaking or acting without first thinking. And he always has a story to tell, mesmorizing pups and adult wolves alike. It is certainly not unlike Wahchinksapa to suddenly launch into a story, especially if he thinks another can learn from it.

History: Gather 'round, kids, it's story time! In twelve years, Wahchinksapa has had plenty of time to experience many things in life and gain wisdom. Let's start from the very beginning and work our way forward, shall we? It was a warm summer morning when Wahchinksapa and his sister were born. The early weeks weren't very interesting, as he spent his time drinking his mothers milk, and sleeping. But then came the glorious day when the cubs ventured from the den for the very first time. How great it was to romp and play! But Wahchinksapa got himself into a bit of trouble when he was a mere three months old. He had wandered into the packlands of his pack's sworn enemies. Let's just say that they were not happy about it. His father had followed his scent into the enemy's terra, where they were about to kill the cub. His father knew he was no match for the pack, and was reduced to pleading for his son's life. Finally a deal was struck. The cub could go free, but for a very high price. His father must give his life for his freedom. The Alpha of the pack would do anything for either of his children, and he gave no hesitation to the terms. A short time after Wahchinksapa ran back to his homeland, his father's battered and torn body was unceremoniously left at the border.

The death of the Alpha was very hard upon the entire pack. Without a mate, Wahchinksapa's mother found it hard to lead...to hard. She tried as best she could, but after three months, she disappeared from the pack, taking Wahchinkapa and his sister with her, and was never seen again. To this day, Wahchinksapa does not know what became of his native pack. For so long he'd carried around the guilt of his father's death and his mother's inability to lead the pack without him. For such a long time he would not forgive himself. Had he stayed with his family like he was supposed to, this wouldn't have happened. The trio had joined a pack, having the benefit of a pack without the cubs' mother having to lead it. It was a wise elder of this pack that finally, when Wahchinksapa was a year of age, got through to him and convinced the youngling to forgive himself. The elder explained he was just a pup at the time, and he couldn't hold himself responsible for puphood impulses, or what those with an evil heart chose to do as a result. Key word was chose. The elder told Wahchinksapa that a wolf could choose to be good, or evil, or anywhere in between. And once a wolf grew old enough to know better, he was accountable for every choice he made. But Wahchinksapa was just too young that fateful day when his father died.

Wahchinksapa quickly proved his worth, and was soon a patroller of the pack. During his time as patroller, he had many a time chased an enemy or troublesome wolf from the lands. He was six years old when he advanced to Guardian of the pack. Then, at eight, he became a Tutor, because he never missed the opportunity to tell stories. Be it a pup or an adult, he always had a story to tell. But then something happened. Humans came into the lands, capturing all that they could. The pack scattered, some escaped, some died that day. Others, Wahchinksapa among them were captured. He spent two years in captivity, being subjected to experiment after experiment. He couldn't count the number of times he was poked and prodded, and jabbed with a sharp instrument that took some of his blood. One day, for whatever reason, he was released. He hunted what he could for a couple of years, but now, at twelve years of age, he found himself old and just not in the best of shape. He now seeks a pack that will take him and give him a home in exchange for all the wisdom he has to offer. He seeks a place to call home, a pack to call his family to live out his last year or so of life.
