Title: Babd

Babd - July 12, 2007 03:56 PM (GMT)
Name: Babd

Age: 2 years, 6 months

Gender: Female

Appearance: Babd is an average sized wolf. Her pelt is a silvery grey, with white paws. She has striking orange orbs. If she is aggravated, she can fluff herself to be twice her real size. She is slender of build and is always with her younger brother, Onai. Her gait is generally slowed slightly to accommodate him. She is well muscled and her strength is rather surprising for her appearance. Her voice, when she uses it, is scratchy and alternates from high to low, due to disuse. She has a few scars, but none are particularly noticeable through her pelt. You have to be looking for them to actually find them.

Personality: Babd doesn't talk. She can, but she refuses to. When she does talk, it is only to people she really trusts and respects. If Babd speaks to you, take it as the highest complement she can give you. She is only open to Onai. He is the one that speaks for her. Without him, she is panicky and slightly more aggressive. Her general reaction to strangers depends on their reaction to her and her brother. If it is ridicule, she will completely ignore them. If it is a reaction that is non-aggressive and if they treat them as equals, she will act civilly.

History: Babd was born in a pack that was fairly powerful. They shared land with two other packs that had roughly the same size territories. Yowlnume was the name of their pack, and they held their territory well. They weren't overly aggressive to their neighbors, but they weren't particularly easy with them, either. When she was a year old, a war broke out. Humans were stealing territory from their neighbors, and since they couldn't fight the humans, they decided to gang up on Yowlnume. It wasn't much of a war; it was more of a massacre. They killed every wolf that they could find, winning more because of sheer numbers than strength. Right before her eyes, her parents were slain. Brutally murdered and trampled into the dirt. She was hidden, inside a hollow log, put there by her father only minutes before they came. She couldn't speak for months. When she realized that she could speak, she didn't like how some wolves twisted words to do evil things, and refused to use them. While she was silent, the two packs had become one. They took all of the territory and had taken in all survivors, thinking that if they had survived the massacre, they must be strong.

When Onai was born, she became his guardian. She was close to him at all times. Who else would protect him? He was actually her distant cousin, but in all the ways that mattered, she was his sister. She was so close to him, it hurt not to be around him. They left the pack when they refused to let Onai be anything of value to the pack.
