Title: Beowulf
Description: Intelligent Wolf

Beowulf - July 5, 2007 04:45 AM (GMT)
Name: Beowulf

Age: 3 years

Gender: Female

Appearance:
Beowulf is rather small. She is the size of an adolescent wolf rather than a full grown one, even though she is as big as she is going to get. Beowulf is dainty yet strong. Her fluffy chocolate crème coat is always kept in great condition due to constant grooming. Beowulf has a slight bounce to her step whenever she isn't being stealthy. Her toffee eyes are very large, giving herself an overly innocent look. At first glance, you would think Beowulf is harmless, but she is actually an excellent fighter. She is very agile and what she lacks in strength, she makes up for fully with strategic attacks. Her voice is very soft and fair. She has a small vee shaped nick on her right ear.

Personality:
Beowulf is very smart and always thinks before doing something dangerous. She enjoys being around pups and taking care of them. Beowulf is a little shy, but can be assertive when she really has to be. She doesn't make enemies easily, but she can hold a grudge. Beowulf is especially afraid of water. She can drink it; she just doesn't like being in it or being submerged in it. Wolves that are overly aggressive towards others because of strength really annoy her. Beowulf loves being able to take care of others, if she can be helpful, she will volunteer to do almost anything. The only things she will not do are swim or do anything that involves being in water. When she can, she likes to be in high places. This could be because of her wanting to be looked up upon every now and then, both figuratively and physically.

History:
Beowulf was born the runt of the litter. She was healthy, but very small. She defied the assumptions of the rest of the pack when she lived through her first winter. Beowulf was very close to her mother, even after she was older. That was probably because she wasn't particularly liked by anybody but her. She was always just thought of as the runt, and she just couldn't shake it. Beowulf had to try twice as hard as her siblings to get any recondition whatsoever. From her point of view, it seemed her mother was the only one who cared about her. When she was feeling sad, she would just go to the nursery. She would take care of anything that was asked of her.
When she was about a year old, there was a flood. Their camp was caught up in it and destroyed. Many wolves drowned, including her mother. Beowulf was also caught in the water, but was lucky enough to be able to scramble on top of a floating pile of sticks and broken branches. After that, she had always been afraid of water. The pack was disbanded after the flood, so Beowulf took to wandering and looking for a pack. She became used to being a loner fairly easily, but she missed being with other wolves and taking care of pups. She enjoyed not being criticized about everything, but she still missed being around others. Her brother, who had always hated her for being small and weak as a pup, gave her the nick on her ear. Beowulf generally gravitates towards higher grounds also partly because she is slightly paranoid of water being near her.
